about

Welcome to Make5Wishes

Hana just doesn’t fit in. At school, she feels like the invisible girl. (“No. Not invisible. Being invisible would’ve been cool. I just wasn’t worth noticing.”) And at home, she avoids her parents’ arguments by retreating to her bedroom, where she spends hours online, playing the part of various cool, smart, sexy, and popular alteregos, and kicks back with her all-time idol and very best (though only in her imagination) friend, rebel rocker Avril Lavigne. One night she runs across a mysterious website called Make5Wishes. Somehow, she can’t click away–and before she knows it, she’s ordered a package guaranteed to make dreams come true. But will it end up being a Pandora’s box? It all depends on the lovable but wily demon inside. Is Hana sure she knows what she wants? And does she know that what you want can be very different from what you get?

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not boring!!! The story is about a teenage girl called Hana. She is lonely and unpopular at school, so she spends most of her time on the internet creating various cool, smart, and popular alter egos. Her best friend is an imaginary version of Avril Lavigne, who acts as Hana's conscience as well as an imaginary friend. Becoming increasingly isolated in life, Hana one day stumbles across a website called www.make5wishes.com which offers to grant five wishes for a small fee. Desperate to turn her life around, she places an order on the site. A few days later, a small box arrives. It contains a creature which explains how wishes work. As Hana makes her first few wishes, things don't turn out the way she would have liked, and the wishes the creature grants often have unwanted consequences. To make matters worse for Hana, the creature starts to mess with Hana's friends by e-mailing them and picking at their feelings. I don't know how people find it boring. The story is about the stress of teenagers' lives, and the pressures of family problems on top if it, as well as the story shows all of these things through the interesting story about Hana and her imaginary friend, rock star Avril Lavigne.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible I found this story to be very slow paced and generally unentertaining. Unless boring is what you like I would not recommend it.
