The sixth book in the NYT bestselling Expanse series, Babylon's Ashes has the galaxy in full revolution, and it's up to the crew of the Rocinante to make a desperate mission to the gate network and thin hope of victory. Now a Prime Original series.

A revolution brewing for generations has begun in fire. It will end in blood.

The Free Navy - a violent group of Belters in black-market military ships - has crippled the Earth and begun a campaign of piracy and violence among the outer planets. The colony ships heading for the thousand new worlds on the far side of the alien ring gates are easy prey, and no single navy remains strong enough to protect them.

James Holden and his crew know the strengths and weaknesses of this new force better than anyone. Outnumbered and outgunned, the embattled remnants of the old political powers call on the Rocinante for a desperate mission to reach Medina Station at the heart of the gate network.

But the new alliances are as flawed as the old, and the struggle for power has only just begun.

Babylon's Ashes is a breakneck science fiction adventure following the bestselling Nemesis Games.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great continuation of the series I'm so happy that this series doesn't seem to decline as it happens with many other multi-volume books. If you loved the characters and style of action in the previous books, you will love this one too!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Yet another EXCELLENT Expanse book James S & A Corey have done it yet again!! I couldn't put this book down(just like the rest of the series....) It was a bit slower and there were many new characters, but I was thoroughly impressed with this book and have pre-ordered book 7 and cannot wait to dig into that. These two authors are quickly becoming my favourite writers, their books are very well written, engaging and down right addictive!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Another great installment I'm a huge fan of The Expanse series and this is another great addition to the story. Given it's not as strong as previous books, it's still an exciting and engaging read.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Another great story from The Expanse Very fun book, and just like all the others from The Expanse, I loved it. I would say it's maybe the "weakest" of the books, in my opinion, but I'd still give it 5 stars because everything about The Expanse is just so good. The book diverges from the writing style of the preview books a little in that it doesn't only introduce the POVs at the start and cycle through them. There are a few extra POVs thrown in during the story.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from SciFi Another great entry in the Expanse series! This book effectively wrapped up the Free Navy storyline (although, I see where they left some threads open for the future). There's a lot going on in this book, but whenever the story jumps back to the Rocinante, its always a treat. I know a lot of people love Bobbie and Avarasala, but nobody is ahead of the core 4 on my list. Looking forward to the next book, and wherever the story goes from here.

Editorial Reviews

"A standout tale of violence, intrigue, ambition, and hope. ... Corey cranks up the tension relentlessly in this fast-paced story of heroes and rebels fighting for freedom. With enough thrills and intrigue for three Hollywood blockbusters, the novel stands alone nicely, making it easy for new readers as well as diehard series fans to dive right in."-Publishers Weekly on Nemesis Games
