Hap and Leonard is now a Sundance TV series.

With his trademark knack for gut-busting laughter and head-splitting action, Joe R. Lansdale serves up a bubbling cauldron of murder and mayhem that only he could create.

Hap Collins has just returned home from a gig working on an off shore oil rig. With a new perspective on life, Hap wants to change the way he's living, and shoot the straight and narrow. That is until the man who stole Leonard Pine's boyfriend turns up headless in a ditch and Leonard gets fingered for the murder. Hap vows to clear Leonard's name, but things only get more complicated when Leonard's ex shows up dead. To the police it is just a matter of gay-biker infighting, but to Hap and Leonard murder is always serious business, and these hit a little to close to home.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Vanilla Cookies and Murders Welcome all to the fourth adventure of our lovable perpetually in the wrong place at the wrong time, Hap & Leonard! Coming off of Two-Bear Mambo, our heroes find themselves in another strange web of murder, mayhem and rabid squirrels. Not going to lie, this novel has the single greatest opening chapter I have ever read. I laughed aloud throughout it.Trust me. This time around, we open with a dead biker and things spin out of control from there. Our two heroes find themselves tasked with finding the cause of some pretty nasty business, with the help of two new characters, whom I hope make future appearances in other Hap & Leonard adventures. Though not as impactful as Two-Bear Mambo, Bad Chili continues on the tradition of exceptionally witty and real dialogue, intrigue and a pitch black sense of humour.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Another Great Hap and Leonard This is classic Hap and Leonard. It is not quite a dark as the last installment The Two-Bear Mambo, but it is filled with the mystery and humour that only Hap and Leonard can produce. Death, mayhem and laughter fill these pages. A must read for any Hap and Leonard fan!
