Rated 2 out of 5 by from Well, at least it was over quickly... I was so looking forward to this book! I had initially seen it on Amazon but it was out of print and used copies at the time were fairly pricey. I ended up finding it at a used book fair for 3$ (yay!). The characters basically just "are". There's no character development and somehow no real plot. The humour I kept hearing about fell flat and I found it more annoying than charming. About 3/4 of the way through, the book suddenly and inexplicably changes perspectives 3 times before reverting back to the narrator. Why?! It served no legitimate purpose and was just needlessly disconcerting. Frankly, the two stars AI gave it seems rather generous to me now.
