Paranormal Dragon-shifting Romance
Revised Expanded Anniversary Edition

Breaking up was never so hard…

Going undercover at a mass wedding as a bartered bride, Morrigan Blake has every intention of getting off the barbaric planet just as soon as it’s over. Or, more correctly, just as soon as she captures footage of the mysterious princes rumored to be in attendance.

But after a euphoric night, Morrigan discovers her ride left without her, and Ualan of Draig is claiming she’s his wife. It’s not exactly the story this reporter had in mind. And to make matters worse, the all-to-seductive alpha refuses to take no for an answer.

Being cursed by the gods was never so frustrating…

Prince Ualan is prepared to follow dragon-shifter tradition and marry the woman revealed to him during the Breeding Festival. When the stubborn, yet achingly sexy, Morrigan refuses to accept their shared fate and his supreme authority over her, it is all he can do to keep from acting like the barbarian she accuses him of being.

About the Series

The dragon-shifting princes have no problem with commitment. In one night, they will meet and choose their life mate in a simplistic ceremony involving the removing of masks and the crushing of crystals. With very few words spoken and the shortest, most bizarre courtship in history, they will bond to their women forever. And once bonded, these men don’t let go… Too bad nobody explained this to their brides.

Reviews

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 4 1-2 stars - Well worth reading Barbarian Prince is book 1 of the Dragon Lords series by Michelle M Pillow. It is the story of Morrigan (Rigan) Blake and Prince Ualan. Morrigan is a human reporter looking for a story of the truth behind Galaxy Brides. While Prince Ualan is a Draig or dragon shifter and one of 4 a princes of Qurilixian who are looking for their life mates. Unknowingly through her actions Morrigan becomes the bride of Ualan. There is lots of action, romance, suspense, sexual tension and humor in this book. I liked it a lot in fact the only thing I didn't like was how Ualan chocked her and it turned her on. I know there are some people out there that like it a little rough but to me that's abuse. I enjoyed being immersed in the world of Qurilixia, and learning of the two main species that are at war, the Draig dragon shifters and the Val cat shifters. It was funny how Morrigan declares herself a slave if a fit of anger not knowing that by doing so she actually indentures herself as a slave. I liked her she was quirky, stubborn, spunky and strong. Ualan sounds very hot and stubborn. Over all this is a good book and worth reading. I give it a 4 1-2 star rating. It would have been a 5 star book but as I said I didn't like him getting rough with her. I will certainly continue to read the series and think you should give it a try also. Received ARC copy. L.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Prince, a Barbarian? I absolutely love these futuristic Dragon Shifters! Morrigan is a humanoid reporter that decides to go undercover to get an exclusive never reported story of the Breeding Ceremony on the planet of Draig, little does she expect what is about to happen to her.. Prince Ualan of Draig never expected his crystal to start glowing when he set eyes on the human..Have the Gods finally looked down upon him with favor, or maybe a cruel joke they have decided to play on him bringing him this feisty human? I was enthralled with this story, could not put it down once I started reading till I finished! The pent up passion and clash of wills is exhillirating had me rooting a lot..LOL I was gifted this book by the author in exchange for an honest review.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Silly Sexy Caveman!!! Oh how I would love my own “Caveman” to call my own! WOW!!! Talk about a roller coaster ride of emotions! Who would ever think that one person could be stubborn?? But for TWO of them…AND for them to be fated for each other?!?! Well you can just imagine what hilariously stubborn actions - events - fights ensues because of their desire to “punish” each other! Well, actually you won’t be able to match what Michelle has in store for this couple! I thoroughly enjoyed the book, but even I have to admit to wanting to strangle Morrigan on more than one occasion! I loved the fact that the King & Queen were also a part of this book! I loved their story so now the chance to follow their grown princes made for even more snickers! True to form, Michelle had me enthralled from the start! Now I realize that even though this was her first book, and it has been “updated”, you can very easily see just how much talent Michelle has! I do have to admit that I also wanted to scream at Michelle for all of this wonderful, funny, hot, frustrating torture of a story! I was at the point that I was cursing my tablet & the book! Lol I almost could not take all of their stubbornness nor the ….WHOA! No spoilers here! I was sucked right in to the characters and the world that Michelle has created!!! I am very VERY happy & excited that Michelle has written a lot of books in this world, because there sure is a LOT of stories to be told and I am NOT anywhere near to leave it any time soon, or in the near future, or should I say past future?!?! But that is also another clue that points towards the wealth of talent that Michelle has. She can write numerous books in one world that no matter if you read one or all of them, they are still fresh and exciting! Although I have no idea how you could stop at just ONE though! Although I don’t want to sell her short here! Michelle truly is a very talented author who can write a various number of topics, across multiple genres and add in some hot & smexy romance and it all comes out as one terrific read that defies being classified into just one category. AND she can do this over and over again! I have read quite a few and have been entranced by every single one. She seems to have come by this gift quite naturally because I have never had one book that started off slow, or had parts that dragged out or even endings that I was disappointed with. Well other than the ending coming too soon for my liking! LOL All in all, this is another great book in an equally great series that I can’t wait to continue reading!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from If you loved the original... If you loved the original then you will love the anniversary edition even more! I read the original release a few years ago and found myself re-reading it many times since I loved it so much. The anniversary edition has a number of changes that enhance and expand the original book. Morrigan is a reporter that is wanting to write an article about the Breeding Festival. She signs up ass a bride but never expects to be chosen as one. Prince Ualan has to deal with so many challenges just to keep Morrigan. The first challenge is to get through the wedding night. I love how each of the scenes has so much more detail than before. Great job on the rewritten-expanded story.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from A Fight to the Finish! A dragon shifter romance. Morrigan-Rigan ia a reporter doing an exposé on the Galaxy Bride Corporation. She signs up, undercover, as a prospective bride for the Qurilixian males annual Breeding Festival. The prospective brided are given information to review aboutit the Draig men (the prospective grooms) and their customs but don't study it thoroughly. Once they arrive on the planet, no one clarrifes the customs either. Morrigan and some the other women are paired off with men wearing only face masks and loin cloths over tall, muscular warrior bodies. Morrigan was paired off Ualan and each pair retired to an outside tent. Yhere was strong physical attraction, kissing and different degrees of petting. Morrigan felt drawn to Ualan, as he was to her, but kept resisting. She was only here to write a story! Even after they're wed, they constantly bickering against the pull.Ualan is the typical alpha male -you will obey me! While , Morrigan is the defiant - you can't tell me what to do do! Who wins this battle to be the master? Is there another way? This is a good read. The constant quest for dominance grew tiring after awile. There were fighting spots between the Draig and the Var (werecats). But mostly the war was between Morrigan and Ualan which contiued through miscommunication and no communication! I will continue reading Ms. Pillow. I was given this book for free for an honest review.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The future of mail order brides. Ms Pillow starts another great series. Remember the old west and mail order brides? This is a futuristic version. Planet has limited number of females born to them. They import human brides to help repopulate their race (dragon shifters). However the women don't know about the shifters or many of the restrictive traditions they will have to comply with. Then there is Rigan. She has no intentions of accepting a husband. She's undercover to get the story on the transgressions of the company providing the brides. Ops. Wedding ceremony night she is chosen by a hunky man in a mask (all the men are masked). With the help of some local wine she goes with her man. Lets just say it is not your traditional wedding night. There are misunderstandings due to her lack of knowledge and his ignorance of her understanding of the customs. All four princes choose wives but we get the hints that all is not well in any household. Their battle with lust, deeper feelings, misunderstandings are multiplied by warring Cat shifters out to destroy the dynasty in the making and keep the war going. All the brides are in danger and war is in the making. Their battles between desires and obligations are long and they give in to their needs, but not with the joining of minds necessary for their relationship. The queen mother is the voice of reason and helps in the way everyone would like their mother-in-law to be.
