“Full of emotional angst, scorching love scenes, and a compelling storyline.”—Dear Author

Gideon Cross came into my life like lightning in the darkness…

He was beautiful and brilliant, jagged and white-hot. I was drawn to him as I’d never been to anything or anyone in my life. I craved his touch like a drug, even knowing it would weaken me. I was flawed and damaged, and he opened those cracks in me so easily…

Gideon knew. He had demons of his own. And we would become the mirrors that reflected each other’s most private wounds…and desires.

The bonds of his love transformed me, even as i prayed that the torment of our pasts didn't tear us apart...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from can't get enough Day weaves a sinfully seductive storyline that leaves you sizzling. I couldn’t even fathom putting it down once I’d started. I really enjoy Day’s writing style. I found it easy to follow and that it fit well with the story at hand. Her eye popping and earth shattering descriptions build this world to a crescendo. Everything is so completely messed up and absolutely perfect. This story is so raw & real that the outside world disappeared while I was reading it. Day creates some very interesting and approachable characters. I appreciate the way that she develops their baggage; highlighting it without allowing it to take over. The contrast between the way they see themselves and the way that they see each other is breathtaking. The dialogue between the characters is quite natural. It adds to the realism of the story. I appreciated the detail that went into this development. I haven’t enjoyed getting to know characters this well in a very long while. I would highly suggest booking yourselves a date night with Gideon Cross. He goes just as well with a cup of coffee as with a glass of wine. This is a must read for everyone who likes something hot.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from so so It was okay... but way too similar to Fifty Shades of Grey. I was a bit disappointed. However, if I would have read this first, my review would probably be different.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it. Get it. Give it. Keep it. Fast paced, well-plotted, strong characters, entertaining. This book was everything I hope it would be and so much more. It took me a while to get on board but I received the trio pack as a gift and dug in a couple of days later. Currently on the third installment and I have to praise and command Sylvia Day for implementing all of the important factors in entertaining literature. I am enjoying reading the books thoroughly and was very pleased to see that there wasn't too much senseless fodder at the beginning. Your mind is enraptured with the plot from the first page and for that I couldn't thank her enough.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from In Love ! This book is the perfect amount of love, fights, sex and friendship. From the beginning of the book I fell in love with Eva, Cary & Gideon, they are very well developed characters, throughout the story they evolve. For people who say it is like 50 shades are totally wrong, yes the concept is very similar but in Sylvia Day's book there is more of a story behind the sex, it was well dosed with the sexual scenes. I found it was perfectly balanced. I felt I could relate to Eva in some ways even if sometimes I feel she gives up to easily. Overall her writing style I fell in love with, she kept me hooked from beginning to end, I just wanted to keep reading and know what would happen to Eva and Gideon. If you are a fan on sexual romances this is a must read. Very good and very good story. I loved it, definetely one of my favorites this year !!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Couldn't Put it Down! I had read the "50 Shades" trilogy and was looking for another series similar to them. I bought Bared to You hoping it would be what I was looking for and it wasn't.... It was way more. It totally blew 50 Shades out of the water. The characters are more developed, the writing style is way better, and the story is more believable. The story isn't just about the two main characters, all the other characters in the story are just as developed and "messed up" as the main characters. There is way more depth and juicy details in this book. I am looking forward to reading the next two books in this series.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fascinating character study The Good Stuff Writing is far superior to that of 50 Shades of Grey (which this book is always compared to) Love the relationship between Eva and her best friend Cary - very supportive and honest Erotic and hot without all of the S&M stuff usually thrown in for Erotica Interesting character study - perfect for a book club discussion Eva is a strong character - she knows there is some serious unhealthy aspects to their relationship and talks about it with Gideon, Cary and her therapist Love, love, love that the couple go into therapy I can see the fascination for Gideon (see the not so good stuff section for more on this) Day's descriptions really makes him sound hot Did I mention how hot this book is - I was blushing on many occasions Fabulous use of dark humour Looking forward to reading the sequel now to see how things are going to work out for these two seriously damaged souls Brings up rape and the lasting damages & discusses it openly and honestly which I find to be very important The Not So Good Stuff Gideon - I am not completely in love with the guy - he is far too controlling for my tastes - don't get me wrong I like a masculine type of man - but hello any man that has you followed or tells you what you can or cannot do - I consider to be in serious need of therapy (Yes good thing about book is that this is addressed) Do both characters have to be beautiful and rich -- us plain poor girls deserve hot s** too ya know ; ) ok and I was slightly irritated by the obsessive exercising in my opinion - but than again that could be why I am not as hot as Eva LOL! - off to the treadmill now Again I more a romantic type of girl so some of the sexual descriptions were a little too base for me -- but again not a bad thing -- just personal preference Favorite Quotes/Passages "That sexy length was the crowing touch of bad-boy allure over the successful businessman, like whipped cream topping on a hot fudge brownie sundae. As my mother would say, only rogues and raiders had hair like that." "I want there to be happily-ever-afters for the f****d-up crowd. Show me the way, Eva honey. Make me believe." "New York was a brand-new love affair for me. I was starry-eyed and it showed." Who Should/Shouldn't Read Good book club read - no really - the discussions about their relationship would be fascinating For those looking for something erotic but not all S&M Definitely for readers who thought 50 Shades of Grey was awesome -- this is so much better 3.75/5 Dewey's I purchased a copy at Chapters Shawnessy as I am receiving the sequel for review

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Highly Recommended! It took me forever to get an ARC of this one to read and even longer for me to read it. I was really hesitant to read it because I've never read the author before and all the hype kind of made me really nervous to read it in case I didn't like it. Luckily for me I had nothing to worry about because I LOVED this book. I know this book was published in the wake of the series Fifty Shades of Grey (Which I also read and enjoyed a lot) but this one in my opinion was a better read. I mean there are a lot of similarities between Bared to You and Fifty Shades but there are a lot of differences as well. I'm still trying to figure out why I enjoyed this book so much since Gideon is not the kind of man I would ever want to be involved in and I frequently found myself wanting to stab him through my kindle for how he was treating Eva in the novel. I honestly don't really care for him that much but I do enjoy the chemistry between them. I found the story to be intriguing and entirely all consuming I think I read the entire book in just a couple hours spread over two days. I was completely and utterly addicted to the intensity Eva and Gideon had for each other. I think what I enjoyed most about them as a couple was how flawed they are. Both suffer from their own personal demons. Eva was dealing with her own past and was trying to learn more about Gideon but he kept wanting to keep himself blocked off from her as he'd never really had a vanilla relationship like the one he wanted with Eva and kept pulling away. It was getting to the point that I was hoping that Eva would drop him like a hot potato and wash her hands of him for good but in the end I'm glad that she didn't. This book is absolutely not for everyone and that's okay some people are going to like it and some aren't but I think that if you're looking for a book that's in my opinion much more emotionally intense read than Fifty Shade with a lot more spice (even though it's lacking the BDSM qualities of Fifty Shades) this might just be the read for you. Sylvia Day created one of the hottest couples on the book market today and this really shows her talent in creating characters that while they aren't perfect do seem to go together quite well. I know I was impressed with this book and when I read it I couldn't wait to read to find out what happened next between this pair. I highly recommend this title as well as this author who after only two books has gotten a fan for life. * I received a free copy of this book from the published via NetGalley in exchange for my free and honest review. All thoughts and opinions expressed in this review are my own and I was not compensated in any way.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Be Original Day What a waste of a read. If I hadn't been sick in bed, would have never bothered to finish it. Mirrored Fifty Shades, but not in a good way. Writing was so poor, it was like Day blew this off over a weekend. Can not believe it was even published! Don't waste your time or money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from "Quite enjoyable" I bought this book when it first came out and finished reading it for the 2nd time a couple of weeks ago. Sylvia does a great job in the characters that she creates and allows her readers to relate to the flaws and insecurities that we all possess. I can't wait for Reflected in You - due to come out in early October. I predict it will be a better read than this - we will see more of the darker side of Gideon ;)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Loved it! Bared to You was fantastic. It was my 'post Fifty Shades' read. It really didn't disappoint at all. Once I started reading, I couldn't put it down.I do admit that there was a few similarities to fifty shades, but it definitely didn't stop me from enjoying it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Wasn't Bad I read this as it was recommended to those who enjoyed the fifty shades of grey series ... It was an EXTREMELY similar story line and I would not recommend that anyone who loved the fifty shades of grey series to waste their time reading this.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Seductive Certainly not a bedtime story, you'll be up all night reading this book. There are a lot of similarities with 50 Shades but these characters have more appeal. Can't wait for the sequel! It's a great escape for any woman...........

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I thought I already read the Fifty Shades Trilogy I bought this book because of the great reviews and the fact that it was a simliar subject to FSG (Subs/Dom). I didn't expect this book to be an exact replicate!! Shame on you Sylvia Day. People can go on and on by saying how FSG wasn't good, not well written, etc etc, and how Bared to You is more 'refined'. The truth is that Fifty Shades came out first....plain and simple. I couldn't finish this book because of all its simlilarities to FSG. Copying is illegal and I have no idea how it was allowed to get published. This is the first and last Sylvia Day book I will read. Terrible.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing ! I stopped reading for a few years but yesterday when I went into chapters with a friend I picked up this book read the back and just had to buy it. I could not put this book down once I got home and read from 10 till 3:30 in the morning and read my entire way to work and home, If anybody asked me what book I would recommend I would say Bared to You it just so much passion and intensity and everything about it makes it seem so real and vivid it is a good way to escape from reality and the best book to get lost in. I am so going to buy the second book to this.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Wasn't impressed.. I'm a fan of E.L. James' Fifty Shades series and this book was recommended to me by Indigo. I was not a fan at all, especially after I recognized scenes from a novella by Day that I'd read previously. From pet names to character names, this book borrowed way too much from the likes of E. James and M. Banks. I was quite disappointed and re-read Bared to You in an attempt to shake off whatever it was that prevented me from liking this book. The second go just reaffirmed that I wouldn't recommend it to Fifty Shades fans.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great read! Wow talk about hot and steamy! I’d recommend this book to anyone who enjoys erotic romance, definitely one of the best I’ve read so far. The story line is a bit cliché but it works. What woman wouldn’t want to be the ultimate savior to a gorgeous, wealthy but tormented man who has eyes only for her? The only damper for me was the domination/submission stuff towards the end but still a very good read. Can’t wait to read the sequel!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loved it! Can't wait for the sequel! I purchased this book based on a recommendation for fans of Fifty Shades of Grey. As much as I liked Fifty Shades, I think I liked this book even more. The characters in this one (Gideon & Eva) are more equal than Christian and Ana. I am looking forward to reading more about this couple and their complicated romance.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing !!! Only one word WOW :) When i starded just did not stop ... Sylvia Day as a way with words that takes over you .... Can't wait to put my hands on Deeper into you and see waths coming for Gideon and Eva......

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sexy and Funny Wow... I'm not done reading... only part way through but I am definately loving the book so far. It is arousing and humorous. This book is very similar to "Fifty Shades of Grey" but different. The feminine character has more spice and sex appeal to her which I can relate to more than the female in "fifty shades". The male character is presently more or less like "Mr. Grey"... definitely a must read :D I finished the book and I enjoyed it as much if not better than Fifty Shades! Can't wait for the next one to be released!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from storyline was okay. i was led to believe that this was better than 50 shades. i have to say i did not agree. i was also disappointed that it is just the first installment of the storyline,,so i have to wait to see how the storyline develops.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from LIKED IT i read this book on the reccomendation , fifty shades, yes seems like there were lots o same things but different characters, it caught my interest few chapters into it, I will read the next one, hope it comes out soon

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not Like Fifty Shades at all! I found this book to be completely different from Fifty Shades; in fact I enjoyed it more. Everyone classifies it as "similar" because they're so obsessed with that genre. The only similarity I saw was that the main male character is rich and owns a lot of property. It's like the difference between Twilight and True Blood. The books posses the same theme but they're an entirely different story. I enjoyed this book quite a bit more because the characters were much more real and interesting to read and unfold with. I found them to be much more raw and passionate with each other. Great read if you like this "Theme" or "Genre" of book.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from It was ok... Like a previous review, it's a lite version of FiFty Shades of Grey. I thought overall it was ok, the charcters didn't move me as much as Christian & Ana did. It was just another read, I felt the story in Fifty Shades was more touching then this one. Similar plot line, similar characters, much the same but not as intense. Not sure if I will read the second one but overal an alright read! I may be a biast reader though....I absolutely loved Fifty Shades trilogy and read this since it was recommended.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from 50 Shades Trilogy all over again Really..if you read the boring dribble of the 50 Shades trilogy - don't bother with this title. It is exactly what you have already read. I thought that I was reading a carbon copy of the same book (with the exception of name changes) - not worth parting with your hard earned dollar. Find something new and lets move on!
