From #1" New York Times "bestselling author Sylvia Day comes the provocative masterstroke of abandon and obsession that redefined the meaning of desire, and became a global phenomenon...
Gideon Cross came into my life like lightning in the darkness...
He was beautiful and brilliant, jagged and white-hot. I was drawn to him as I'd never been to anything or anyone in my life. I craved his touch like a drug, even knowing it would weaken me. I was flawed and damaged, and he opened those cracks in me so easily...
Gideon knew. He had demons of his own. And we would become the mirrors that reflected each other's most private wounds...and desires.
The bonds of his love transformed me, even as I prayed that the torment of our pasts didn't tear us apart...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful Book I can read this story over and over and over again! I absolutely cannot wait for the 5th book. I've never been so in love with characters and their stories. A must read series!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Okay, but tired of dysfunction I would have enjoyed more sexual tension build up before jumping into the characters talking about "fucking" and sex so early. Then I got tired of the constant get mad and leave dysfunctional relationship issue. It would be nice to have a build up of romance and sexual tension without SO much if the same issue over and over.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A different twist from 50 Shades of Grey What A great build for more books. Equally as exciting as 50 Shades. Super sexy without bdsm in it, yet
Date published: 2015-07-12
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Bared to You Much better than Fifty Shades. Bared to You is well written and has a story line. Eva and Gideon are a much more belivable couple.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sylvia Day Sylvia never fails with the best characters in her books. I love Giddeon and although Eva is nerve racking at times she is likable. Story line is well written hope we find out about his past

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Must read! This series of books is a must read. You won't be able to put them down! Hot, steamy and a plot so thick you might want to fill your prescription for valium before you read them! Can't wait for the final book in this series!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good I'm hovering between a 3 and a 4 out of 5. This has similar scenes to the book "that-shall-not-be-named" but the writing is so much better. There's also a bit more depth to it. What annoyed me the most was the emotional angst and the back and forth, on and off again relationship Eva and Gideon shared. They're both traumatized by theirs pasts and we do find out the past of one, but not the other and that bothered me. I found their fights to be so over the top and downright ridiculous. Many times I felt that Eva was making something into nothing, while Gideon had no barriers for privacy whatsoever. I would be beyond pissed if he pulled stuff like that on me. I also couldn't fathom why Eva had to explain how beautiful every character she knows. We get it, everyone is a Barbie and Ken doll in your fictional world.. It doesn't have to be repeated. I found Gideon to be positively overbearing, controlling and super possessive. He had his sweet moments though. His physical description made me imagine Henry Cavill the entire time,so that was fun. As for Eva, I had no idea why she felt like she wasn't worthy of Gideon. She would dismiss her worth all the time and it bothered me so much. I liked Cary in the beginning but after what he did to his love, I started to detest him. And what's up with his "baby girl" nickname? It's just as annoying as "Inner Goddess." Overall, I say pick it up for the steamy sexy scenes, but lack of character development and a page turning story eventually made me feel like it wasn't finished. Hopefully these are fixed in the sequel.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good I thought the story was good, but I didn't love it as much as 50shades. Plot line was good, those steamy love scenes weren't written all that well. I didn't find them sexy at all. Really just a big, fat copy cat of 50 Shades of Grey!!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Bared To You Good book but it definitely had a LOT of similarities to Fifty Shades of Grey. I definitely need to finish the series though so I know what happens.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It was good! If you read this with an opened mind and not go into it comparing it to 50 shades then it's a good story. It has similarities yes! But the author has done a good job!

Read from the Book

“WE SHOULD HEAD to a bar and celebrate.”I wasn’t surprised by my roommate’s emphatic pronouncement. Cary Taylor found excuses to celebrate, no matter how small and inconsequential. I’d always considered it part of his charm. “I’m sure drinking the night before starting a new job is a bad idea.”“Come on, Eva.” Cary sat on our new living room floor amid half a dozen moving boxes and flashed his winning smile. We’d been unpacking for days, yet he still looked amazing. Leanly built, dark-haired, and green-eyed, Cary was a man who rarely looked anything less than absolutely gorgeous on any day of his life. I might have resented that if he hadn’t been the dearest person on earth to me.“I’m not talking about a bender,” he insisted. “Just a glass of wine or two. We can hit a happy hour and be in by eight.”“I don’t know if I’ll make it back in time.” I gestured at my yoga pants and fitted workout tank. “After I time the walk to work, I’m going to hit the gym.”“Walk fast, work out faster.” Cary’s perfectly executed arched brow made me laugh. I fully expected his million-dollar face to appear on billboards and fashion magazines all over the world one day. No matter his expression, he was a knockout.“How about tomorrow after work?” I offered as a substitute. “If I make it through the day, that’ll be worth celebrating.”“Deal. I’m breaking in the new kitchen for dinner.”“Uh . . .” Cooking was one of Cary’s joys, but it wasn’t one of his talents. “Great.”Blowing a wayward strand of hair off

Editorial Reviews

“When it comes to brewing up scorchingly hot sexual chemistry, Day has few literary rivals.”—Booklist

Praise for Sylvia Day’s Bared to You

“The rush of erotic fiction into the hands of mainstream readers invites consideration of whether 21st-century society is flirting with a new normative sexual epoch. Day’s novel explores this issue unflinchingly and compellingly by pairing her narrative of sexual temptation and emotional risk with character studies that mirror divisive social and cultural issues of identity, trauma, repression and liberation.”—New York Times bestselling author Andrea Cremer

“A page-turner!”—Access Hollywood Live

Bared to You takes a sensual look at a darker side of love.”—Shelf Awareness

“Full of emotional angst, scorching love scenes, and a compelling story line.”—Dear Author
