Once Bitten . . .

One minute Leigh is walking home in the early hours of the morning, and the next a vampire is sinking his teeth into her neck. Turns out it was a rogue vampire marked for termination, but it does Leigh little good because the damage's already been done. She's become one of them.

Lucian Argeneau, hunter of rogue vampires, has been alive for over two thousand years, and there's very little to excite him anymore. Food has become tasteless, sex is ordinary. Then Leigh drops into his life. Suddenly he finds himself craving coffee . . . and imagining the sassy brunette atop the black satin sheets on his nice big bed. It's Lucian's job now to enlighten Leigh on the inner workings of being immortal . . . and tutoring her is igniting a fire in him that hasn't burned in centuries.

But until they stop a renegade bloodsucker from destroying the human race, passion will have to wait!

Lynsay Sands lives in Canada and is the author of countless award-winning romances, including the bestselling Argeneau vampire series.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bite Me If you Can I love how this is a light and laugh out loud kind of a series. It has suspense without being very intense.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from From Kansas to The Big Smoke! This is my first Lynsay Sands book & I cannot wait to read the other offerings in the series. This book is laugh out loud funny at times! I could not stop myself from grinning from ear to ear through the portions of the text that dealt with Lucian’s drawn out acceptance of Leigh as his life mate & then rather awkward attempts on both their parts to actually initiate the relationship. The comedic element is compounded by the nieces & nephews actually being able to read both of their very graphic thoughts about each other. Somehow, I imagine the young Argeneau’s would not mind having been spared half naked images of their grumpy uncle being projected at them by Leigh. ‘Your not in Kansas anymore TOTO’, imagine Leigh’s surprise as she wakes up in Canada. It is so refreshing to have Canadian references in a book to familiar staples such as Tim Horton’s. A definite recommend, a quick evening read that I could not put down!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loved it! Grouchy old Lucian doesn't realize that saving this girl will be the best thing that happens to him. Leigh is his lifemate and with him being stubborn and all high and mighty, he finally realizes he has to ask his much younger family members to help him woo her or he might just lose her.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely Loved it I picked this book up at the store, read the blurb and decided to give it a try, and finished it in 5 hours. I mean, I like mythical vampires, but nanos are so much cooler! Am now going to get the earlier books (didn't realise that this was a series, lol). Can't wait to read the rest of the series!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Like a vampire beauty and the beast I think this book is my favorite in the serious. I loved the character Lucian and how it took the love of a woman to melt his wounded heart. And I liked how frustrated he'd get when nothing would go his way.
