about

The explosive conclusion to the Newsflesh trilogy from New York Times bestseller Mira Grant.

Rise up while you can. -- Georgia Mason

The year was 2014. The year we cured cancer. The year we cured the common cold. And the year the dead started to walk. The year of the Rising.

The year was 2039. The world didn't end when the zombies came, it just got worse. Georgia and Shaun Mason set out on the biggest story of their generation. The uncovered the biggest conspiracy since the Rising and realized that to tell the truth, sacrifices have to be made.

Now, the year is 2041, and the investigation that began with the election of President Ryman is much bigger than anyone had assumed. With too much left to do and not much time left to do it in, the surviving staff of After the End Times must face mad scientists, zombie bears, rogue government agencies-and if there's one thing they know is true in post-zombie America, it's this:

Things can always get worse.

BLACKOUT is the conclusion to the epic trilogy that began in the Hugo-nominated FEED and the sequel, DEADLINE.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wish This Wasnt The End! Absolutly loved this series from start to finish. I couldnt put these books down until I finished them. I wish there were more, I wish someone would make them into a few movies! Amazingly written characters, and some wonderful quotes that will stick with me. If anyone is looking for a new series to read, youve just found one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from End of news flesh trilogy best yet With suspenseful writing combined with multiple surprises and a continued scientifically believable basis for a zombie epidemic this final book of the trilogy is great.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Just Okay! I really wanted to love the Newsflesh Trilogy but the characters and pacing left me cold. The final book reveals the cover-up of the zombie virus. The three novels really could have been minnowed down to one book.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from GREAT SERIES - couldn't put them down Having never heard of author Mira Grant, I purchased her first book of the series, Feed, not knowing what to expect, but intrigued by the synopsis. I was not disappointed. I quickly devoured Feed, and moved on to Deadline, which I also made short work of. And then began what seemed like the long agonizing wait for the final book of the series, Blackout. I could not have imagined the direction Mira Grant would take us in this final book, but enjoyed every turn of the page. Do yourself a favor and read these books; even if you are not into all things zombie, these books are full of suspense and intrigue, and you will quickly become engrossed in the characters with writing that will take you through all the trials and tribulation that will follow them. Saying goodbye to a good series is never easy!
