Rated 3 out of 5 by from Bones Are Forever This is another good read, but not as gripping for me as many of her other novels. I did enjoy the Canadian setting of this book. A bit of romance thrown into the mix this time.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Bones are Forever A good mystery overall. Relationship between characters is flat, too much unspoken drama and stereotypical cop lingo, not as smart and grpping as earlier books.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Bones getting better. Thoroughly enjoyed this book. Controversial topic but not an impossibility in that life. Well written but one could get caught up in the medical jargon.Having lived in Edmonton, I found it very interesting knowing where she was talking about and could see the places in my mind's eye which gave a different perspective to the book.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bones are Forever If you are a fan of Kathy Reichs and her heroine Tempe Brennen, you won't be disappointed. This time Tempe goes to the West Coast of Canada & enters the world of diamond mining. Of course, Andrew Ryan is along for the ride. A good read as always.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from True Brennan, true Reichs Good stuff, very good...much as Poirot, Brennan puts her little gray cells to work and reaps big dividends! Lovely read.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from True Brennan, true Reichs She gets better and better with every book. Loved the fast action, pace and the suspense kept me guessing. Also I loved how she describes the city of Edmonton, of course I have a natural bias as it is my hometown. Overall it's a great book and I relish reading every single word.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worse than mediocre I did not like this book at all and will never buy another novel by Kathy Reichs. I'm amazed at the bad rap she gives Edmonton, the fluffy style of writing and the way she veers off the path of the main story. Not impressed, too much boring info about mines.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A grabber Like most of Reichs' books, this one is no different. It grabs the reader right from the beginning through to the end. I though this was gong to be a "baby" killer but no, it's much much more once Reich takes us to Yellowknife with her two ex boy friends. Don't spend to much time trying to understand her anatomical terms, or you will tire fast.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Another good Temperance book. A good read right to the end. Starts off pretty gruesome, but keeps you entertained throughout.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Shudder Kathy Reichs amazes me. How does she have the time and energy to write great novels & scripts, teach, and work in her field? Loved this one, brought to light an underbelly of Canada we hate to know is there, but gives kuddos to our great Mounties and the fantastic jobs they do.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of her best! After reading her last book, I thought maybe she was becoming too predictable in her formula of storytelling. But this book was amazing! I loved every word. It was very engaging and as someone who lives in Western Canada, I appreciated her using other parts of our great nation as the back drop for new storylines. The storyline itself was grotesque and sad if you consider the bigger picture, but I think she did an excellent job of incorporating the many topics, including infanticide, mental illness, the environment, the treatment and perception of Native people and the complicated relationships between colleagues, as well within familes. If your a fan of her books, you won't be disappointed, I absolutly recommend this to anyone. Happy Reading.
