Bird is back - in a fun board book edition!

Bird and Raccoon are playing ball when Bird gets bonked on the head. "Boo hoo hoo!" he cries. What will make Bird feel better? A kiss? A cookie? A Band-Aid? Bird's friends Raccoon, Rabbit, Beaver, Sheep and Fox are full of sweet and funny ideas.

Perfectly pitched and hilariously imagined, this charming story about a universal experience will put a smile on the face of every child who has suffered a boo-boo and every parent who has struggled to come up with just the right way to give comfort.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from My kids love it This book is great - simple and cute and fun. My children love it, but not quite as much as the first in the series - Grumpy Bird. However, if you are tired of reading about bird being grumpy, reading about his bonk is a nice change :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent This is the second book by Tankard in this series. It is fantastic. The first book Grumpy Bird was great also. In this story Bird is playing catch with Raccoon and gets bonked on the head. All of Bird’s friends try to make it better by different means. A kiss, a hug, a cookie, a game and a band-aid all do not help. All of Bird’s friends, Beaver, Raccoon, Sheep, Beaver and Fox cry because they cannot help bird. Tankard tells simple stories with great illustrations that will teach children great messages. His books are ones I share with my children and think they are great for children of all ages.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Simply Delightful Boo Boo Bird, Jeremy Tankard's follow up to his colourful and hilarious multi-award winning, bestselling picture book, Grumpy Bird, is just simply delightful. Bird and Raccoon are playing ball and Raccoon accidentally hits Bird in the face. Bird cries and cries and nothing his friends do seems to help - and they do try anything. Filled with the same simple prose and exuberant colour scheme we saw in Tankard's last book, kids and adults are sure to fall in love with Boo Boo Bird. Be sure to pick up both Bird books today.

"What you need is a cookie!" said Beaver. "You can fix any problem with a cookie."

Beaver gave Bird a cookie.

Bird cried louder, "I think I'm getting dizzy.""Let's ask Sheep what to do," said Beaver. "She's full of ideas."
