From #1 New York Times bestselling author Nora Roberts comes the final novel in the Irish Born Trilogy—following Born in Fire and Born in Ice.

Shannon Bodine’s life revolves around her job as a graphic artist at a New York ad agency. But her world turns upside down when she learns the identity of her real father: Thomas Concannon.

Obeying her late mother’s wishes, Shannon reluctantly travels to County Clare. There, amid the lush landscape steeped in legend, she meets her half sisters and their families, but she’s wary of opening her heart to them—or to their charming neighbor…

Murphy Muldoon is a successful farmer and horse breeder with a romantic streak that can turn the most trite sentiment into poetry. Soon, his striking good looks and unpretentious ways have Shannon discovering the possibility of a love that was meant to be.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Born in Shame (Born In Trilogy #3) by Nora Roberts What an awesome conclusion to the series! I think this might even be my favorite of the series, but then Born of Ice was excellent too.Murphy was a fantastic, yummy, dreamy, wonderful hero that I couldn't get enough of and if Shannon was a little cold, she had reasons for acting this way. Besides, I loved watching the previous couples appearing in this one, without ever stealing the show. Highly recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stunning This book is an absolutely wonderful end to a fantastic trilogy. One has to wonder where Nora Roberts gets her talent from. This story follows Shannon Bodine, and her ensuing love affair with Murphy. Roberts manages to capture the anger, the betrayal, and the absolute pain of having everything you know shaken about so that Shannon has no idea who she is or where she came from. in an odd twist it is the male character in this book who professes his love for Shannon, almost from the begining. What follows is a story about hardship, family and forgiveness. An absolute must read for any romance fan.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great! This is one of my favourite books, though I haven't brought it out in a while. Nora creates a vivid image of Ireland, it's culture and people. The story is rich in it's emotion between the sisters, and the complexity of the addition of the youngest sibling, Shannon. The relationship between the main characters is lovely; Murphy is one of my favourite male characters in a long time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Born in Shame This book was a great conclusion to the "Born in" trilogy. I loved the idea of having a sister that joined the family in Ireland from the states. Must read Born in Fire and Born in Ice first!!

From Our Editors

Publishers Weekly praised Born in Fire. Then, Born in Ice continued the tale of the Concannon sisters of western Ireland, modern women bound by the spirit of their land. Now Roberts's bestselling Irish trilogy concludes with the tale of Shannon, an American artist who can't deny her Concannon roots--or the passion she feels for an extraordinary man.

Editorial Reviews

“America’s favorite writer.”—The New Yorker “Nora Roberts’ concluding novel in her [Irish Born] trilogy won’t disappoint readers who’ve been tantalized by the hero in the two previous books....Her knack for crafting a good Irish romance could have kept this series going indefinitely.”—The Romance Reader “With prose that’s lively and compelling, Roberts creates exceptional characters whose relationships with each other develop and grow, and live on in the reader’s imagination and heart.”—Publishers WeeklyFrom the Trade Paperback edition.
