From the Author

Dear Potential Reader,When I sat down to write this book, I had two specific groups of readers in mind: 1) the aspiring artist, and 2) the parents or loved ones of those seeking a career in the arts.  Having watched so many artists around me over the years (many with natural talent and gifts I could only dream of) struggle unnecessarily to find their way, I felt that, through my own experience and research, I had an opportunity to demystify what a career in entertainment really entails, and provide a road map for creating the opportunities that lead to repeated success. In short, this is the book that I wish I had when I started out and, perhaps just as importantly, the book that I wish my family had so they would have confidently and comfortably known how to support my dreams and decisions along the way that probably seemed nuts to them at the time.  Contrary to the pervasive tabloid image, there is a rhyme and reason to this industry and furthermore,  there are plenty of opportunities out there for anyone with the right knowledge and a bit of drive! And that is exactly what I believe my book will provide...Go forth and conquer! Your applause awaits!Gratefully,~Evan
