Rated 4 out of 5 by from Badass Book I really appreciated the breadth of women looked at in this book of badass broads (Much more diverse than in Princesses Behaving Badly). Though a little light on the detail (There is really only 2-3 pages on each of the women) I found the storytelling captivating, it really paint a vivid picture in a small number of pages. Each piece is beautifully written, the illustrations are GORGEOUS, and I loved the modern take on each of these historic women. What I loved most is that there is no suggestion that strong means physical, these women were strong and powerful in a whole host of ways, in courage, politics, society etc. Again another great read for teens, especially girls, on the awesome females who've come before them.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Must Read! You want to learn more about badass women around the world? This is your book! I was familiar with a few of these ladies, but for the most part, I was fascinated by what they did and how they were able to get through life while living in a heavy patriarchy society. Love this and I'm hoping there will be another!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from What a delight! This was so enjoyable and a book made for my factoid-loving heart. I love the diversity and feminism of this one and meeting so many remarkable women that I might never have known of otherwise. Mackenzi Lee's narration is definitely part of the reason I liked this a lot. It feels very casual and friendly, and I can imagine her getting a classroom full of kids amped up for some awesome history facts. I think this is gonna kick-start some more non-fiction reading of books in this vein!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from An Amazing Feminist Book I adored this book and the author's witty input throughout it all. This book really highlights women whose names have gotten lost in history. I learned so much and gained so much respect for these wonderful pioneers. My only complaint is that about halfway through the book, the author focused on more European/American women.
