Caethion, a dark fantasy novel set in present-day Wales, follows the stories of Aneurin, Beatie and Caradog as they’re abducted and dropped into dark and sinister territory.

With mental illness already rife, Aneurin attempts to cope with not only the predicament in which he finds himself but also his own internal conflicts. Beatie, an aspiring veterinarian, deals with death and imprisonment as she attempts to uncover the objectives of their captors. Caradog faces government corruption head-on and succumbs to the consequences. After suffering a loss, he struggles with depression and tries to lead a normal life, until the figures in waistcoats take him too. To successfully rise against those that detained them they must fight darkness with darkness, and push themselves to almost impossible lengths.

Lewis Evans was born and raised in South Wales, where he still resides. His first-hand experiences with deformity and mental illness inspired him to write Caethion, his debut novel. When not writing, Lewis enjoys knitting, gaming and exploring the woodlands and mountains of Wales.
