Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best pirate book This is one of my all-time favourite books. Plenty of swashbuckling adventure, dastardly villains, and characters with dash and charm make for an excellent read. I recommend this for people who enjoy Bernard Cornwell, C.S. Forester, the Pirates of the Caribbean movies, or any lively, action-filled story.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent!!!! Captain Blood is the most amazing swashbuckling adventure I have ever read. It was Brilliant. Normally I don't read books that take place mostly on ships because I find them a little dull. This book though turned my idea upside down. Its full of action and adventure and even romance. In my opinion everyone should read this book and then afterwards perhaps watch the 1935 film 'Captain Blood' starring Errol Flynn.
