Reviews

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Catching Fire A great sequel, Peeta’s endearing, Effie’s more dimensional, and Katniss remains a heroine to be admired. #plumreview

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best book of the series I finished this book in one day - couldn't put it down. This is my favorite book of the series since one is already connected to the characters, and the pace of the novel does not slow down like most second books in the series I've read prior.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Was okay. Was an okay, entertaining quick read, but not that spectacular. The first book was great and would have been better if left as a stand alone, or the last two books made into one. The whole romance drama gets a bit tiring. I enjoyed that they had to return to the hunger games arena, as it introduced new characters.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Truly Imaginative I hated the beginning because it was so unfair. But the way Suzanne Collins crafted this new hunger games arena is so intriguing and heartbreaking at the same time. This is one of the best sequels I've ever read. Suzanne Collins is great at what she does.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Alright The books get progressively worse as you go through the series... But if you're a young teen like I was when I read this book, it was captivating.. However, as a young adult I think the dystopia idea is over done.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Loved the series, loved the writing, but I didn't like this particular cover of the book since I am not usually one for covers pertaining to the film. Still a great read but I prefer the original edition with the black background and the Mockingjay pin.
