Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not as good I read some of the books in this series a long time ago and I remember that while the first three were decent the next three were not as good. I recently read/skimmed this book again and I found it to be really slow for the first three quarters of the novel. I had to skim to get to the good parts and they were good (which is why I gave it three stars instead of two) however I think this is the point where I started losing interest in the series last time. The world is great and the characters are good but the writing is bogged down with so much unnecessary detail, it's a shame really because I could have seen myself reading the rest of the series if the books were shorter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Another Must This is one of the better books of the series. These characters really deliver in this story and the overall story brings a whole new dimension to the Xanth world. Can't wait to see what can happen with this new talent discovered.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from One of the better books I liked this book a fair bit. There are not a lot of books that I have liked better in this series.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My favourite This has to be the best Xanth book of all. It is definitely my favourite. Dor is a great character, who adds fun and charm to the book. There is adventure, humour and a love story on top of that!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Piers Anthony! You have done it again!! Another fabulous piece of writing from an all-time favourite author. Centaur Aisle was filled with puns galore and many episodes of suspense. I could not put down this book. I recommend this book to all fantasy lovers, especially Xanth readers!!
