Reviews

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A must for all painters and drawers! This is a very readible and quite thorough tracing of pictorial space and illusion in painting. It gives an interesting spin on the usual diatribe of historicism by eluding to stories of invention, imagination, and appropriation within the painting tradition. It's a must-read for students of painting and drawing as well as a fantastic resource for teachers of spatial concerns - in any artistic discpline, but especially painting.
