THE SEVEN MILLION COPY BESTSELLER
Chariots of the Gods was immediately recognized as a work of monumental importance when it first introduced the theory that ancient Earth had established contact with aliens.
Erich von Däniken's examines ancient ruins, lost cities, spaceports, and a myriad of hard scientific facts that point to extraterrestrial intervention in human history. Most incredible of all, however, is von Däniken's theory that we are the descendants of these galactic pioneers—and he reveals the archeological discoveries that prove it...
The dramatic discoveries and irrefutable evidence:
• An alien astronaut preserved in a pyramid
• Thousand-year-old spaceflight navigation charts
• Computer astronomy from Incan and Egyptian ruins
• A map of the land beneath the ice cap of Antarctica
• A giant spaceport discovered in the Andes
Includes remarkable photos that document mankind's first contact with aliens at the dawn of civilization.

From Our Editors
There's a pyramid that contains an alien astronaut as well as spaceflight navigation charts that are 1,000 years old. Maps of the chilling land beneath the ice caps of Antarctica. These are but a few of the shocking theories that Erich von Daniken proffers in the highly-provocative Chariots of the Gods. This groundbreaking classic features theories of mankind's earliest meetings with alien creatures and alien worlds. This fully updated version of the perennially best-selling classic features a new introduction by van Daniken and striking photos that show man's initial contact with aliens.
This author is nuts! In his book, he claims that astronauts visited the Earth thousands of years ago, which gave rise to ancient civilizations. He has so many crazy theories, but they are interesting and fun to read. If you like UFOs, Atlantis and other unexplained mysteries -- and whether you are a skeptic or not -- you might like this book.
