Xo salaried officer, except as oth«rwine provided 2 in this charter, shnll receive or accept any fee, payment or com-3 pensation either directly or indirectly for any nervices per-4 formed by him iu hi official capacity, or any fee, payment or 5 compensation for any official service performed by Any of 6 his deputies, clerks or employes, whether performed during 7 or after official business hours. No deputy, clerk or employe 8 of such officer shall receive or accept any fee, compensation 9 or payment other than his salary aa now or hereafter fixed 10 by law, for any work or service performed by him of any 11 official nature, or under color of office, whether performed 12 during or after official business hours. Sec. 30. Every fee, commission, percentage, allowance 2 or other compensation authorized by law to be charged, 3 received or collected by any officer for any official service, must 4 be paid daily by the officer receiving the same, to the treasurer, 5 except as otherwise provided in this charter. The treasurer 6 shall place the same to the credit of the general fund. Sec. 31. The auditor or other proper officer must deliver 2 from time to time to the treasurer, and to every officer 3 authorized by law...
