In this lively alphabet rhyme, the letters of the alphabet race up the cocunut tree. Will there be enough room? Oh, no - Chicka Chicka Boom! Boom!

A told B, and B told C, I'll meet you at the top of the coconut tree.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just the right rhythm This book is absolutely wonderful for kids. My son got it when he was 2 and he still loves it not that he's 4. We even bought a new copy as ours was read to pieces. The pictures and colours of the book are perfect for youngsters to catch their attention. They can point out the letters and helps learn sequence of the alphabet as well. The rhythm of the words is unbeatable and easy to learn and memorize. Your kids will want to read it again and again and again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Kids just love it... Both my children love this book. It's colourful and the rhyme is fun, it's easy for kids to pick it up and before you know it they are reading along with you (my son can't read yet but he sure knows what's next). Hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Chicka Chicka Boom Boom I think this book is absolutely amazing. I am an ECE student, and I recently did an 8 week field placement at a Day Care center in a junior preschool room. The children ADORED this book, and constantly wanted it read to them, over and over again. Most of them knew most of the words since we read it at least three times a week for the entire 2 months I was there. This book is very relevant for toddlers and preschoolers because of its repetition and rhyming rhythm. What a great book...this is guaranteed to be loved by both children and adults!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Children LOVE it This is one of my 18 month son's favourite books. He actually learned to say e,f,g; before saying mommy (it kind of hurt!) He makes us read it everyday and more than once. At the beginning and end of this book the alphabet is listed, so we sing the alphabet song; he loves it. My 2 1/2 year old knows the alphabet song because of this book and she also knows the book by heart and reads it to him (it's really cute!). This is a wonderful book to add to your child's library.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Best Alphabet Book! Chicka Chicka Boom Boom is a fabulous book to help children learn the alphabet. Featuring both letter names and the illustrations of both the upper- and lower-case letters, this book is a must for all young children. Being a Kindergarten teacher as well as an expectant mother, I recommend this book wholeheartedly!
Date published: 2000-12-28
Rated 5 out of 5 by from A new classic for young children I bought this book because of its colourful, jazzy illustrations and catchy rhyming verse, although I was a bit worried that my son would not appreciate the simple cut-out style pictures. Happily, I was wrong. Not only does my son consistently break into peals of laughter upon hearing how, "M is looped, N is stooped, O is twisted alley-oop", but he requests multiple readings every night, and insists that he sleep with the book so that, "it won't get lost" (like the other books mommy is forced to hide temporarily because after about the 150th reading, she goes insane).
