Reviews

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Chicken Soup for the Soul O Canada, The Wonders of Winter Once again Chicken Soup for the Soul delivers with a book written in Canada by a Canadian Co-author. While the stories in this book are on fun topics of dealing with our Canadian Winter as well as hockey and Christmas, they inspire the heart with traditional themes of overcoming obstacles, facing adversity, love, kindness, family, and making a difference. There are also quite a few stories that will simply make you laugh out loud. I particularly loved the story of the guys who went water skiing on the Rideau River - on December 24 and had to avoid ice chunks, and the woman who found a brother she never knew she had - right before Christmas. In addition to contributions from Canadian writers from all over Canada, the pages are spiced with touching or funny quotes from many famous Canadians like Peter Gzowski, Marc Garneau, weatherman David Phillips, Rick Mercer, Wendel Clark, Steve Podborski, and Pierre Elliott Trudeau. What a great Christmas gift this would make this year! I loved it!
