about

The girl with no past—and no future—may be the only one who can save their lives.

Nisha was abandoned at the gates of the City of a Thousand Dolls when she was just a child. Now sixteen, she lives on the grounds of the remote estate, where orphan girls apprentice as musicians, healers, courtesans, and, if the rumors are true, assassins. She makes her way as Matron's errand girl, never letting herself imagine a life outside the walls . . . until one by one, girls around her start to die.

Readers who flock to lush, romantic fantasies like the Graceling series and Tamora Pierce's Bloodhound books will be won over by Nisha and her poignant, emotional journey through the captivating world of City of a Thousand Dolls.

Extras included in the paperback edition.

Reviews

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pretty good I really enjoyed the mystery and Nisha's drive to find the killer considering her best friend was a victim. I also really liked the concept of the city and I found the writing compelling. The romance was kind of bland and I felt it could have been skipped. I also did not love the ending. I enjoyed the story for what it was and I don't feel the need to continue the series which is always a plus.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from UIt's Really Interesting I find this to be a really interesting book with an interesting concept. I really like it. However, I didn't expect the ending to be like this. Highly recommand for a romantic fantasy mystery read!
