Warrior, avenger, Joanna Archer has survived countless otherworldly terrors—and has found her rightful place among the agents battling the all-pervasive evil of Shadow . . . even as she struggles against the darkness within herself.

A war is raging for Las Vegas—a city without a heart—one that catapults Joanna into a new world hidden from mortal sight. In this lethally seductive alternate dimension the lines blur between good and evil, love and hate, and here lies the last hope for the Light. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gut Wrenching and Engrossing If you've followed the series this far, then you've no doubt become entrenched in the lives of these superheroes. Therefore, this novel will cause a few tears and definitely some WTF moments. I found it almost impossible to put down this book and read it in one evening. I just kept flipping the pages and knowing there would be some huge bomb dropped somewhere along the lines, but not knowing where and when. When it finally does hit, it makes some serious changes in the Zodiac universe. There are several things that made me cringe and upset me, but just from an "I'm so disappointed in this character!" way, not because of writing or the story. It all made me incredibly excited about where Pettersson's taking this, and how Joanna's going to fit into the Zodiac universe after these revelations. I very much reccommended reading this series from the beginning, just to get to this book.
