Rated 4 out of 5 by from Healthy Detox Really love this book. He provides a simple and whole food way of "detoxing" your body from common allergens. After a week on this diet I felt great (although detoxing from sugar is a VERY difficult feat. I felt terrible the first few days due to the sugar detox). I love that this book is whole food based and that you don't need to follow his recipes to a "T", you just need to follow the guidelines. I am a plant-based eater and adapted the recipes (and used my own) during the time period. I did have the two liquid meals a day and the one solid meal. I never went hungry (if you are hungry EAT A SNACK, don't starve!). Great way to "detox" your body after putting a lot of bad food into your body. I did mine right after the holidays.

But just from reading and watching what I eat in the last week and a half I have lost 3 pounds. I purchased his cook book as well and I can't wait.

It's more than a detox book, it's a philosophy for healthy living that you can incorporate well beyond the detox period. Much of the advice, I had already been doing, but I picked up a lot of valuable information that I has allowed me to improve on my habits. I love the shake a day concept. I also purchased the ''Clean Eat'' recipe book, and I absolutely love it!!!! I have tried several recipes, and they are both easy to make and delicious. I recommend purchasing both the Clean and Clean Eats together.

There is a great deal of commitment for a period of 21 days of the cleanse, but it is so enjoyable and easy to do, that anyone, even the most skeptical, would benefit from doing this cleanse. It not only stops there, it helps set you up for a lifetime of clean and delicious eating. A MUST read!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Better then I taught From the information I had, I taught that the author was suggesting as a way of eating, two liquid meals plus one solid meal a day. That made no sense to me but I took a chance to order the book anyway. In fact, this system is used only for a maximum of three weeks. I do not plan to follow his plan to the letter; but I am incorporating some ideas like removing possible allergens like milk products, wheat and soy. This idea of allergens is becoming more and more popular. For example, another book in French, which is very popular, is indicating the same possible allergens. The author Jacqueline Lagacé had health problems. Being a scientific with a Ph. D, she presents a solution that is like Junger, except the allergens are removed on a permanent basis and not for three weeks. So, I recommend this book. The paperback is not costly and it is a good investment in your health. The ideas make sense since they are confirmed by other scientific sources.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Was worth the effort We tried it - 1 week of the elimination diet and 3 weeks on the cleanse. It was work - mostly preparing all the food and finding recipes online that worked with the diet, and doing all the shopping. But the food was super healthy, we lost a lot of weight for the time period, and we were feeling really good. It didn't stay that way, and we have good intentions of getting back on (holiday soon after finishing the cleanse didn't help). But we weren't really all that hungry. Would recommend for someone who wants to try a reasonably gentle cleanse and doesn't want to pay for the program (he has it online), but it's better if you commit to the full duration.
