A Groovy Peek into Confessions of a Middle-Aged Hippie
...Observations of life on earth & other cosmic meanderings

Should the wild escapades of your twenties... and beyond... silently recede into decades past? Or would you have the guts to bare it all, with the enthusiasm of a peace-loving, truth-seeking middle-aged hippie?

Beverley Golden presents a love-offering of profound lessons from heart-wrenching, humorous encounters in standing up to "Gods" of conventional medicine while staring death in the eye, raising a child TV star, and pursuing a career in the entertainment industry at all costs... always choosing a life colored by love,
laughter and hope as the only possible outcome. Blazing trails though the '60s and '70s, right up to today, this candid, conversational memoir affirms the power of intuition and teaches us to never underestimate the role of questioning everything on the path of a true hippie seeker.

Be forewarned... this book may not be for you:
· If you've never faced insurmountable health challenges determined to find another way
· If you never dated (or married) someone despite obvious omens courtesy of your family, God and/or Mother Nature
· If you've never wanted to be on Oprah or dreamed of writing a book in eight days
· If you once had the chance to divulge your dreams to a rock star about your past-life connection, but failed to take it
· If you aren't intrigued by horoscopes, Hair or Daryl Hall and John Oates
· If you think everything you did in Vegas should definitely stay in Vegas

Beverley's unconventional memoir will inspire you to live life on your own terms. This book proves it: you are not alone in the universe...and we're all hippies at heart.

Beverley Golden is a writer, raconteur, song creator, wordsmitherer, soul hippie, peacenik and self-professed guinea pig, who loves testing unconventional ways to shift paradigms in the playing fields of health care, storytelling and of course, world peace. With the heart of a compassionist, she views the world as a full glass optimist...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An Inspiring Read!! I LOVE this book! In one word, “Inspiring!” Once I picked it up, I couldn’t put it down. I love the format Beverley used, which made it even more fun to read as Beverley is a great story teller! Being an artist myself, it was so exciting to read about her adventures as an artist and how it contributed to her healing journey. Beverley is a very strong, spirited woman and I commend her for the great strength she shows by expressing her vulnerability in these stories, especially as she dared to include stories of the not so exciting times. It’s so inspirational! Having dealt with several health issues in my own life, I am learning more and more how important it is for us to be our own “Doctor” when it comes to our health. "Confessions of a Middle-Aged Hippie" offers reassurance to us all to trust our instincts when it comes to our personal health and well being. I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves an uplifting authentic read.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love loved this book! I really loved this book!  From the first page, I was drawn in and couldn't wait to read more.  The Q & A interview style made me feel like I was actually part of the conversation. Anyone who has ever taken on the word “impossible” and shifted paradigms to show what is “possible” in life, will love Beverley’s candid and vulnerable storytelling.  Her conversational style invites the reader in and serves them up a mixture of humour and insight, touching at the heart of what it is to truly be human.  I highly recommend this book to everyone who is looking for an inspiring read!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Catchy!!! "Confessions" Has Something for Everyone! Having been a fan of Beverley's writing since I first discovered her on the Huffington Post, I couldn't wait for "Confessions of a Middle-Aged Hippie" to finally be released. "Confessions" definitely delivers! It's a great read, filled with personal and vulnerable stories from her days in the music industry rubbing shoulders with well-known celebrities, to her life-time filled with health issues that she continued to take on and champion. And, Golden has a charming way of including the reader in her stories. There is truly a take-away here for everyone, whether you grew up during the "hippie" era or not. It's a book about the power of the human spirit and because of that, can inspire us all.
