Geena can't wait to spend summer vacation at the Triple Shot Betty coffee shop with her best friend, Amber, and her cousin, Hero. But Amber and Hero hate each other on sight, and Geena's dreams of a girl-bonding summer fly out the window - then vanish entirely when a few cute (okay, drop-dead gorgeous) guys enter the picture. All is not what it seems, though, and in a story of mistaken identities, summer high jinks, and just enough romance, Geena and her friends learn that when Bettys unite, they can take on the most powerful force in their world: a hot guy.
Jody Gehrman is a Betty of all trades. She writes novels for adults, is a playwright, an actress, and a singer-songwriter. This is her first foray into young adult literature. She lives in Potter Valley, California.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Alright summer read for teens My friends and I read this book in high school and we really liked it. However, it’s probably not something I would be into as an adult. It’s filled with superficial teen drama based around the Triple Shot Betty drive-thru coffee shop that the three protagonists work at. I didn’t really care for Hero’s character (I shared Amber’s opinion of her), but Geena was relatable. I enjoyed following their crazy antics over their summer break. Not a bad read.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Great Summer Read This book was a great summer read. I never intentially thought of purchasing it, however scaming through the shelves at my local chapters, I noticed a book in pink that may be good. Read the back cover and took it home. My God was it ever amazing. I couldn't put it down. If your looking for a book with some romance, and humor to follow, than this book is perfect. This book definitly made me laugh and had me hooked from the beginning.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cleave, Witty, and Fun! So, schools out for the summer and Genna Sloane has her vacation all planed out. It's going to be a girls summer, her, her best friend, Amber, and her cousin, Hero. Everything is goin to be perfect she thinks, untile Amber and Hero meet for the first time and the claws come out. They take an instant disliking to each other. So much for her perfect, girls summer. Then to complicate things even more, guys end up in the picture and things start to get out of control. This book shows you that when friend stuck together they can take on anything that is thrown there way. This is a great book for girls and I would recommend it to anyone who loves a book filled with cat fights, public humilation, teen love, and HOT guys!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Two Thumbs Up I really like how the story is written in a diary form. So I definitly enjoyed this book and I give Jody Gehrman two thumbs up on this book. Also the sequel to this book (Triple Shot Bettys In Love) is really good and if you like reading about love/relationship stories this is the series, and the second book has some relationship conflicts.......
