Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love these books I love these books I have all but two of the full length ones and a couple of the anthogoies. Nora Roberts is an amazing author and alot of her newer stuff is really fun and smart. If you also like this series give some of her stand-alones like High noon, the Search and chasing fire a try.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Eve Dallas Is Annoying... I was given the hardcover of this book by someone who did not like it. I must say, I was not a big fan of it either. I enjoyed the actual plot, a serial killer on the loose who must be a medical professional due to organs missing and the killer had skill in removing the organs. It was the character of Roarke and Dallas that I did not care for at all. I found her annoying, all the talk abut how well off they are, how big their home was, I'm sorry but I did not care for it at all. I just could not identify with her personality and I found her abrasive and again, annoying. I would not read another one of the In Death series.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Just like the others in the series Eve Dallas is back and on the case of a sleeper who has his heart cut out, pointing the finger towards a doctor or someone in the medical field. Dallas has to deal not only with a murderer on the loose, but a cop with a bad attitude that was on the scene of the murder and files a complaint about Dallas. Using her smarts and her husband's resources, she links the crimes with other crimes out of state to determine who the murderer is. This series never disappoints in its level of suspense. However I'm getting tired of the killer targeting Eve. I think in about 75% of the Eve Dallas novels I've read, the killer tries to send Eve a message by either directly threatening her or someone she's close to. Can't Robb find another way to create suspense? We finally find out the first name of Roarke, which was completely unexpected. It's nice that we continuously get pieces of the character's past, as well as some glimpses into what the future could possibly be. With more than 20 books left in the series, I just hope that it's no Eve Dallas alone in a room with the killer, trying to talk him/her into a confession and not get killed at the same time. Enough is enough!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from great read I am slowly working my way through this series and am loving it. There is a serial killer on the loose. He is no ordinary man but a skilled surgeon. He attacks the weakest humans, the licensed companions and sidewalk sleepers. He leaves a precise surgical incision exactly where an organ used to be. But there is no need for this as artificial organs are just as good. Eve Dallas is assigned to investigate but comes up against a street cop with an ax to grind. Suddenly she not only needs to solve the case but needs to keep her job. Roarke is ever present and more than willing to step in and help Dallas with his brawn and his technology. Great read!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellence prevails I'm a newcomer to the Eve Dallas series, and this particular book is one of the best I've ever read! Dallas is as compelling a character as any ever created by any writer. J.D. Robb has a winner here! I'm looking forward to finishing the series, and then waiting for more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Conspiracy in Death Nora Roberts is one of my favorite authors and I have read everything she has written. When I read Conspiracy in Death I had no idea the author J.D. Robb was Nora Roberts but I was hooked after the first few pages. She has created a powerful character in Eve Dallas that makes you want to keep reading to the last page and waiting breathless for more. In the past 4 weeks I have read the entire series and I am anxiously waiting for the next novel due out in March.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Conspiracy In Death If you haven't heard of Eve Dallas by now, you better catch up in this book which is the eighth in the series. Eve Dallas is a cop with dogged determination. Her life and her soul are her job. But when that job is put in jeopardy, Eve is forced to re-evaluate who she is. Stuggling to ensure that justice is served, Eve Dallas tries to find out who she is and whether Eve and the cop can exist without each other. All the while chasing a killer who is faster than the police department. This series is the cream of the crop when it comes to romantic fiction. This book is a "don't miss".
