Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great book My 8 month old son received this book with a bear for Christmas from my sister. He lovespecially feeling the texture of the bear and looking at the great art in the book. I especially love that they live in an apartment because we do to (and most books reference houses instead of apartments).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Always a Favourite Another classic teddy bear story. This one is about a bear in a toy store that nobody wants, comes to life in a shopping mall, has fun after hours adventures, and in the end finally finds a home with a little girl that doesn't mind he's missing a button and is a little scruffy. My kids really felt for the bear and loved the story.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Corduroy (Corduroy) by Don Freeman Corduroy was one of my childhood favorites and I still love it! Corduroy's wish to find the button to make himself more appealing, to his glorious adventure (oh, how I loved that escalator "mountain" and the many fabulous mattresses, and tugging and tugging to get that button off!), to the fright with the night watchman and finally Lisa coming back with her own money to bring Corduroy home and sewing on the button, not because she felt anything was wrong with him, but so he would feel more comfortable. I love the end, with the realization of what it feels like to have a true friend. And the illustrations have always captivated me

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Corduroy board book The board book version of "Corduroy" is a super idea, and I'm glad that the story has not been abridged. The smaller size and the durability of this sturdy book make it easier for little hands to hold and ensures that it lasts longer than the average paperback version. It's a treasure.
