about

"A fresh and original new series!" --Krista Davis, New York Times bestselling author

When a treasure hunt leads to deadly plunder, it's up to glass shop owner Savannah Webb and her trusty investigative posse to map out the true motives of a killer . . .

It's the dog days of summer in St. Petersburg, Florida, and Webb's Glass Shop proprietor Savannah Webb has an eco-friendly plan to help locals escape the heat--a recyclable bottle-crafting workshop taught by reticent store manager Amanda Blake. Turns out, the class is a bigger smash than expected, thanks in part to a pair of staggeringly old bottles brought in by snorkeler Martin Lane . . .

Linked to a storied pirate shipwreck, the relics definitely pique Savannah's interest. But intrigue turns to shock when Martin's lifeless body washes ashore the next morning, another glass artifact tucked in his dive bag. With cell phone records connecting Amanda to the drowning, Savannah must voyage through unchartered territory to exonerate her colleague and capture the twisted criminal behind Martin's death . . .

Cheryl Hollon now writes full-time after she left an engineering career of designing and building military flight simulators in amazing countries such as England, Wales, Australia, Singapore, Taiwan, and India. Fulfilling the dream of a lifetime, she combines her love of writing with a passion for creating glass art. In the small glass...

Reviews

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Glass Art info & a mystery Upcycling of glass bottles is the latest class at Webb's Glass Studios and Amanda's first solo teaching assignment. When student, Martin, brings in Bristol Blue glass bottles recovered from the Intercoastal Waterways near St. Petersburg FL, the mystery of Gaspar the Pirate's treasure is stirred up. Savannah Webb and her posse of crime solving friends rally around their own Amanda when she is arrested for Martin's murder. The author is a glass artist enthusiast and this book contains lots of interesting information about creating art objects out of glass, including the latest in upcycling - taking empty wine and liquor bottles and melting them down into platters, bowls, and even garden art like flowers on metal stakes. Previous books are rehashed a bit too often for someone who's already read the series and do not add anything of real value to a new reader of the series.
