Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good reference book for correspondences As with the Herb book, this is an excellent reference when you are looking for a correspondence or the properties of a stone. It's not really the sort of book you sit and read cover to cover, but I keep going back to it again and again for information when I need it. #plumreview

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Incredibly Comprehensive This book is chock full of reference. The list of gemstones, metals and minerals is very extensive. It covers all uses relevant to gem work of really any kind, and even offers some Wiccan-based gem magic in it. This is my go to book whenever I need to shop for gems, or even if I get new stones and want to find uses for them. If you want a full compendium of gemstones and their metaphysical uses, definitely pick this one up.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from A useful, if specific, guide reference Classic Cunningham (likely one of the most informative authors of wicca/paganism), this is the guide for those of us interested in gem work, crystal magic, and metal magic. I only rate this book at three stars because I rarely end up using it, not because it isn't informative or a good text. I have a quick glance through whenever I pick up a stone that gives me a good feeling, or if I'm looking for a particular effect, but it's not inspired reading - it functions almost like an inspired grocery list. Well done, but very much a list. I wouldn't say this is required reading for the new pagan, but if you're interested in the topic, it's a strong resource.
