MAGIC IS A DRUG. IT'LL COST MORE THAN YOU CAN PAY. . .

When a rare Blue Moon upsets the magical balance in the city, Detective Kate Prospero and her Magic Enforcement colleagues pitch in to help Babylon PD keep the peace. Between potions going haywire and emotions running high, every cop in the city is on edge. But the moon's impact is especially strong for Kate, who's wrestling with guilt over her use of illegal magic.

When a rogue wizard steals dangerous potions from a local coven, Kate's team must find the thief's hideout before the vengeful coven catches him. But the investigation uncovers the rogue's dangerous plot to unleash chaotic magic on the city. Once the Blue Moon rises no-one's secrets will be safe. Not even Kate's.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dramatic and Thrilling Talk about ramping up the stakes for a sequel! While CURSED MOON is filled with waaaaaay more drama than DIRTY MAGIC, I absolutely loved it and had so much fun re-entering an exciting universe with great characters, a twisty story, and great action. The plot was fantastic and creepy in the way it needed to be. I definitely cringed at some points, which I'll always count as a good thing. What sold it even more for me was of course the character development. Kate, who I loved for her honesty and good intent in the previous novel, took a much darker turn here as her secrets caught up with her. As crazy as she drove me sometimes, I couldn't stop loving her and rooting for her. It was a great character development story, for both Kate and side characters like Danny and Pen. I keep falling in love with this series and can't wait to see where the next book takes me!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Magically Delicious Excellent second installment. Kate Prospero is a kick ass detective in a world where magic works and potions are the new drug of choice. In this story Kate must find a way to shut down a Raven--a wizard who has gone rogue--and stop him from using a rare blue moon to cause chaos in Babylon. With her partner Morales and the rest of her team, Kate must face old foes and new ones to keep her city and her family safe.
