Necromancer. Bounty hunter. Killer.

Dante Valentine has been all three in her life. But in the beginning, she was a Necromancer for hire. And while she was choosy about her jobs, there were just some she couldn't turn down. Like when the Devil showed up at the door and offered her a deal. Her life - in exchange for the capture and elimination of a renegade demon. But how do you kill something that can't die?

Dante Valentine, one of urban fantasy's hottest series, is compiled into one volume for the first time. Included in this omnibus edition are:Working for the Devil, Dead Man Rising, The Devil's Right Hand, Saint City Sinners, andTo Hell and Back.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from dante valentine - complete series complex characters, Machiavellian plots, internally logical worlds - a fantastic and challenging read. I wish I could read it all over again without knowing what comes next. some of the best I've ever read.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Hell of a series. I've read a zillion reviews about this series. Almost all of the reviews mentioned how much they loved the character Dante Valentine and how bada** she was. When I discovered that the whole series was available in one volume I immediately went out and purchased it. There are five books in the volume and it has about 1300 pages. I basically sat on my couch for three and a half days and read through the whole thing. Did I like it? Hell yea. I've never read anything by this author, but she is definitely a new fav now. Her writing had the best of everything...there was action, humor, sarcasm, fantasy, and the right amount of romance. Dante and Japh are the perfect characters. I loved how defiant Dante was. She did whatever she wanted regardless of what Japh wanted. Their whole relationship was hilarious. Of the whole series the second book was my least favorite. This is probably the worst comparison ever, but I'd compare it to "New Moon" (by Stephanie Meyer) in the sense that the whole time you were wondering where the hell Edward was. I kept thinking "Okay, let's get Japh back in the mix here". He was MIA for a majority of the book. Books 2 and 3 were great...the last one was probably my next least favourite. It just didn't have the interactions between Japh and Dante like books 2 and 3. Overall this series is great. I'm so happy that I discovered this author, I'm definitely going to purchase more of her books. Random: -If you're going on a long flight grab this book. It will keep your attention the entire time...you'll never want the flight to end. -Downside: The book is like a brick. It's pretty heavy...I didn't drag this one around anywhere. It strictly stayed home.
