Witzige Dialoge und prickelnder Sex – Rachel does it again!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not as good as the first two in the series Tangled Up in You by Rachel Gibson (Audio Edition) Narrated by Nicole Poole The Writer Friends #3 2 Stars - I was excited to read this. Loved the first two books in this series and I enjoyed Maddie’s character while in those books. I thought there was a ton of potential for her story, being a skeptical woman due to writing true crime, but I found this book pretty slow. There was way too much backstory, and loads of details and information that I kinda felt were unnecessary. Also, sadly for me, I did not feel any chemistry between Mick and Maddie, or really anything throughout the story. It all just felt like words. I started skimming the sex scenes due to this as well. This book seems to be the opposite to any other Rachel Gibson book I have read. I will be sure to read some more of her books though... cause everyone's allowed a dud at some point right? Nicole Poole did a fine job with her Narration. She has a variety of voices and clear pronunciation. ~ Paragraphs and Petticoats ~

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tangled up in you Great book! I love the way it's written. Laugh out loud funny, realistic, romantic and overall difficult to put down.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It's good to see this author back! While it’s not quite up there with my favourite Gibson book, See Jane Score, it’s pretty damn close and I did really, really enjoy this one. Mick is adorable. He’s pretty scarred from what happened to his family in his youth but lives in a state of denial. He loves his sister and his nephew and moves back to a place he hated in his youth to take care of them. And I really liked Maddie. I thought she was a great heroine. She was strong and overcame a terrible childhood. She writes true crime books and while she has been affected by her subject matter, still she has maintained her sense of right and wrong. She knows it’s wrong that she kept something major from Mick, but I could really buy her reasons. The banter between them is very well-written and this is Rachel Gibson at the top of her game.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from meh. Don't get me wrong, I loved her first few titles. But increasingly I have been finding her newer stuff... well... kind of boring. Her characters are flat and I really didn't even care about them in this latest novel. I hate to write a bad review for an author whom I have been following and buying books from for several years... but really. This one, like the last few, was mediocre, at best.
