Rated 5 out of 5 by from Barbara Erskine is a Powerhouse! Daughters of Fire was a wonderful read! I have read all of Barbara Erskine’s novels and have enjoyed each and every one of them. It’s been a while since I have read one and this great novel reminded me of why she is one of my favourite authors. This book is classic Erskine with the world of hundreds of years ago colliding with modern day and people in the present are pulled back into history. While a bit of a thick book, I found it hard to put this book down and fell asleep with it on many a night. The story is rich in its detail and is compelling to the reader to learn what happens next. Barbara Erskine stays in my top group of favourite writers!
