about

The phone rings at four in the morning. For Ian McBriar, now a Detective Inspector with the Toronto Police Department, early morning phone calls are never a good thing. And this is no exception. Starting with a grizzly death and a warehouse fire, Ian follows the trail of a cold-case unsolved murder and a baffling series of clues, hunting for an elusive serial killer. And, this time, it’s not only his life on the line. The deeper he digs, the more perplexing the case becomes, the more bodies pile up—and the more dangerous it is for everyone Ian cares about.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great finish to the series Read the last of the three books yesterday. It answered a bunch of questions, and this mystery, like the others, infuriated me that I missed the bad guy, again. Good read for a rainy weekend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Answers the question Book 2 The second book in the series ends with a cliff-hanger, and this book answers that very crisply. As with the other two books in this series, the crimes left me guessing right to the very end, and as with the other books, I DIDN'T GUESS THE RIGHT BAD GUY! Pretty amazing given the number of mysteries I've read. The liner notes describe it as a page-turner. They're right.
