about

Police find a boy nobody knew existed in an old man’s house… and his story is wilder than even he can guess.

Open the door on this intense but fun mystery and let the darkest of secrets pull you inside.

Local police discover a nine-year-old hidden away in an Edinburgh house. Social services place the mystery boy in the care of emergency foster parents Claire and Steven Northward, Frank Friendship’s best friend.

But all is not well in the Northward household. The couple is at war and this latest addition to the fostered family is about to turn the conflict thermonuclear: the boy is convinced that Steven is a molester.

Meanwhile Frank has his own crazy ideas about how to rescue Steven’s marriage and he’s caught in the middle when everything explodes. And now there’s more at stake. Because the Northwards’ new foster son really is in danger, and staying with the couple might be the only thing keeping him—and Steven—alive.

Deny Friendship is book three in the outrageous Frank Friendship series. It can be read standalone, but there’s no going back. Book one, Screw Friendship, is free on Kobo. To find out more about the series, visit rgmanse.com.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely brilliant! This entire series is absolutely brilliant! The characters are quirky and engaging but above all very real. Each of the books in this series get better and better and so far Deny has reached a pinnacle that I can't wait to see surpassed in the next instalment. There is mystery, angst, edgy humour, empathy and an inherent honesty in these books. No person is unworthy and these books express a humanity that is rarely seen. If you are looking for an all-night page-turner with edge of the seat twists, this book (and the others in the series) is a perfect choice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I've read this book and it does not ming! OK, so those are Frank's words, not mine. However I HAVE to say that this book totally drew me in! I read the first two ebooks and loved them. I will admit that I have been writing my very first book review s since reading this series. I thought I knew where this story was going partway through but then Mr. Manse did it again! The book takes a drastic turn of events and you HAVE to keep reading. I can't wait for the next book to see what happens to everyone! If you want romance and sappy love stories, look elsewhere. This will grab you and not let go!! Kudos again RG Manse and thanks for delivering another great one!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great story line I've read all the books in this series that are available and I must say it was enjoyable. I could not put this book down. Any of them, I had to find out what happens next. I'm looking forward to more. Please, keep them coming.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from captivating, strong characters, funny Deny Friendship was, for me personally, quite emotional. I cried for Steven because I pitied him, I laughed with Frank (my, what a character!) and I was angry with Claire. It was a captivating story of a boy no one knew existed. Half way through the book I started reading slower and slower as I knew the book was coming to an end and I was not ready to let Frank go, yet. Having finished the 3 Frank Friendship books, I really miss Frank and the crazy situations he always finds himself in. Screw Friendship, Pursue Friendship and Deny Friendship are the best books I own! I am so glad I discovered them and I hope many more people will.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Utterly spellbinding An old man’s death results in the discovery of a child that no one has ever laid eyes on. Home schooled in a house with boarded windows, the mysterious “Boy M” is unaware of any living relatives and unable to explain where he came from. The Northwards are foster parents with tragic past and different ideas about what the future may hold. When asked to foster “Boy M” as an emergency case, they find themselves in the middle of a tempest of emotions. Events hurtle toward a climax uncovering a horror that spans nearly a century. Frank Friendship is priceless, navigating his own circumstances and everyone else’s with characteristic eccentricity and brilliance. He finds himself getting closer to the heart of his own mystery – one that has shaped his entire life. The cast of characters is larger than ever before – introducing new faces alongside familiar old ones. The plot is enticing and riddled with the twists and turns we have come to expect from RG Manse. I couldn’t put it down. This is the third book in the Frank Friendship series, and definitely the best one yet. It is primarily a mystery but crosses into several genres and will be enjoyed by fans of contemporary fiction, drama and humour as well. It can be read as a standalone novel but is definitely best appreciated as part of the series. I requested a copy of this book from the author in exchange for a fair and unbiased review.
