Customer Reviews of Der Nacht ergeben: Guardians of Eternity 1 - Roman

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Enjoyed IT! Abby and Dante are memorable characters. Abby is a practical individual and shares realistic worries all through the story. Dante is supportive and the kind of vampire you'd want by your side through thick and thin. They make a great couple and I can't wait to read more of their adventure together. I enjoyed this story!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I've read better I wasn't impressed with this book. First time I hated the hero of the story. Dante was extremely annoying. The way he keep calling Abby lover was just creepy. And I felt like the author tried too hard to work in a back story to the point where she'd jam in facts about Abby anywhere she could.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from just another tale I admit that I was disappointed here- I didn't buy the relationship between Abby and Dante and the plot is rather mundane, especially in this genre. Overall, it read like I was watching a B-movie.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from An okay book. Not quite sure what to make of this series as of yet. I understood Abby as a character, not personally but I've seen it. I understood why she was the way she was and how little she believed in herself. Dante was a regular arrogant vampire who had to have his way in everything. The plot was simple, not that well excecuted. Some of the characters made you grin and snicker. The action scenes, however, were great. I love a good fight - or more than one - however many there are. There had been a twist in the plot, but it wasn't very original and I wasn't surprised at what came about. And I no longer want to see the word 'lover'! That was all Dante called Abby, and by halfway through the novel, I was so tired of it that I wanted to climb into the book and shove a sock in that cakehole he calls a mouth - fangs or no fangs! I am now completely sick of that word. And for some strange reason, this is supposed to be Book #1 of her 'Guardians of Eternity' series. Other than the mention of Dante guarding the 'Chalice', there is absolutely no mentioned of being a 'Guardian of Eternity'. Talk about frustrating... It wasn't that bad of a book, and I wonder if it's because I'm just coming off of Kim Harrison's 'Rachel Morgan' series that would explain why I feel disappointed. I'll give the second book a try once I'm done the Books of the Month for February.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Can't get enough I love reading vampire stories and I picked this up on a whim. I got vampires, demons, witches and more. I loved it. It's fast paced, sexy, fun and leaves you wanting more. Since it's the first of a series, my wish will be granted! If you like Kenyon's Dark Hunters, then pick this up, too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Sinfully Sensual Delight! From start to finish this book delivers. As an avid reader of the Paranormal Romance Genre I can tell you that this book is worth every penny. Ivy's quick wit and stunning visual prose make this book one you can't refuse. As a reader you are drawn in from the first page and you can't put the book down until you are finished. Dante is a hero who quickly captures your heart and makes you yern to ease his troubled soul. You''ll be begging for his bite. Alexandra Ivy is right up there with Sherrilyn Kenyon, Karen Marie Moning, and JR Ward as tops of the Paranormal Romance World!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from wow Amazing, a real master piece. Alexandra leaves us panting with suspense and sensual characters. A true writer, this book is one you can't put down till the end. And even then its one you'll read again and a again. One where you either really love the character or you really hate them. Feelings and actions in this book are so well written that you will think you are in the story. Don't miss out on this story, you haven't read a piece of art if you haven't read this book. Loved it!
