The highly anticipated sequel to the #1 NEW YORK TIMES bestselling book!

Secrets have a way of getting out, especially when a diary is involved.

Whatever you do, don't ask Greg Heffley how he spent his summer vacation, because he definitely doesn't want to talk about it.

As Greg enters the new school year, he's eager to put the past three months behind him . . . and one event in particular.

Unfortunately for Greg, his older brother, Rodrick, knows all about the incident Greg wants to keep under wraps. But secrets have a way of getting out . . . especially when a diary is involved.

Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules chronicles Greg's attempts to navigate the hazards of middle school, impress the girls, steer clear of the school talent show, and most important, keep his secret safe.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from love this series I started with the first book in grade 4 and signed it out of the library, my classmates (and cousin) kept telling me you need to read the first book first, but they didn't have the first book at that time so I tried this one and they were right I needed to read the first cause I liked this book. now I've read them all. they're funny, exciting, some adventure, and has some of the problems of kids at greg's and his friends and family's ages.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Just As Good As The First I knew that I had to read the second book after I finished the first one and I am so glad that I did because it was just as amusing as the first one was. The characters still manage to capture my attention.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from didn't really like it I wanted to see what all the hip was and I have to say I was dissapointed. I see more this book as being a recollection of a kid that's being bullied and trying to do the same to his "friends"

Rated 4 out of 5 by from "Very Good" Mr. Kinney, I must say you have created a very funny novel that I actually stayed up all night reading. This book reminds me so much of Big Nate, and this book did make me laugh really hard. I have to know how Jeff could of came up with this idea! Good: Funny, and short read, I felt like it was a graphic novel and I liked that because then I could finish it way quicker. It was an enjoyable read and the characters were believable and they were funny. Bad: Short and sweet, the plot wasn't nearly as good as all the other books!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Alright this is a good book but not very interesting but it gets interesting when rodrick breaks the secret that greg has been holding back, but luckely for him it doesn't work out very well

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good books. My 8yr old son was not a big reading fan. The 30mins. a day that he needed for school was torture for all of us. I bought this book on a recommendation from a friend. I'm glad I did. He loves these books. He reads all the time. He rarely stops at 30 min now, but continues on for 45mins to 1hr. They are easy for him to understand and do his mini reports on. And they are challenging enough to help him improve his reading level.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hilarious and Laugh Out Loud Reading Jeff Kinney has done it again! This is the sequel to the original Diary of a Wimpy Kid. It follows the angst of Greg Heffley through another year at school. I love this fresh concept of story combined with the drawings. The story and Life of Greg is something everyone can relate to. I can't wait to read the next one, The Last Straw.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A fun-filled, light read- great for all ages I am a big fan of the Diary of a Wimpy Kid Books, and I have read both the first one and the third. These books are light and easy- you can finish them in half an hour tops- but they're so funny and innocent you just have to give them a thumbs up. These books are great for skeptical readers- Bravo! Love the hilarious drawings!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Absolutely Hilarious This novel filled with cartoons is just a hilarious blast perfect for boys who might not like to read. I liked it better than the first one because Greg didn't seem quite so mean it and was more of a sympathetic character. Rodrick is his big brother which is a pretty big cross to bear. I laughed out loud and loved the drawings. Jeff Kinney has tapped into a brilliant idea here and I'll be reading them for as long as he writes them.
