Rated 4 out of 5 by from Interesting read Skeptical of past lives? Don't worry so was Dr Brian Weiss. That's why you should read this book. It's written by someone that was definitely a skeptic--and by accident became a believer. The evidence is there. Interesting read.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Interesting I read this because someone recommended it and loaned it to me and it was an easy read and very thought provoking. I managed to finish it in a few hours. I wouldn't exactly base my beliefs off any of it but it does offer an interesting insight of life and death. I'm not sure if it's worth nearly $20 though.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fascinating Book! So, I did my final high school book report, stand up presentation, on this book. That was in the year 2000 at Orillia District CVI. To make the report more dramatic, prior to the start of the class, I placed on each desk a small tin, a tealight candle and a box of matches. Before the presentation I instructed the teacher to turn out the lights and had the whole class, in unison, light their candles. Then I did the presentation by candle light. It really helped that this was the same teacher I had for Drama. Good Times.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from For all believers and unbelievers I read this book on a spur and ended up reading for 4 hours straight until 2 am. Woke up and read another 3 hours and finished this book! What a great insight into life - meaning, our transient state and what our purpose we have. Makes you feel that true spirit is all there is(your own conscience). Nothing else matters, its transient and will pass.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I could not put-it down! My friend suggested this book and I was a little sceptic when I read the reviews, but all I can say is that I couldn't put it down! It still haunts me, in a very good way because I realised that there's so much we need to learn to grow as human beings and this book does just that. It is very valuable and is also an easy read. I recommend-it to every person who's willing to open-up to hypnosis.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Real Eye Opener! This is the true story of a prominent psychiatrist, his young patient, Catherine, and the past-life therapy that changed both their lives. Catherine came to see Dr. Weiss for help with her life. She was suffering from various fears, recurring nightmares, anxiety attacks, relationship difficulties and depression. Dr. Weiss asked her permission to hypnotize her and was utterly shocked when Catherine began recalling past-life traumas. He was a little suspicious at first but soon his skepticisim turned to total belief. Catherine began to channel messages from the space between our earth when we die and the beyond. What cemented Dr. Weiss’ belief is the fact that Catherine began to deliver news about his family and his dead son! Using past-life therapy, Dr. Weiss was able to cure Catherine and now regularly regresses patients to past lives. If you are an unbeliever regarding reincarnation, I’m quite sure that after reading this book, it’ll give you food for thought and it just might make a believer out of you. I haven’t been able to stop thinking about this book since I turned the last page!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A BOOK I WON'T EVER FORGET!!! This was a phenomenal book! I'm sure I'm not alone in wondering what happens after we die. Is there another life in some other place, are we reincarnated, or is everything we've each believed in and been taught a big hoax and there is nothing after this life? Dr. Weiss's book takes you through the 'true story' of his hypno-therapy sessions with a 35-year-old women named Catherine. Catherine was having a lot of difficulties in her life, was unhappy and had many fears and phobias. During her many months of hypno-therapy with Dr. Weiss, Catherine began remembering MANY past lives, 86 to be exact although only about 35 were covered in this book. I was so taken in that I read this book in one sitting, I could not put the book down, it pulled me in right from the beginning. It's not filled with a lot of medical jargon that us layman can't understand, but simple every day English and in very straight forward terms. To learn of the past lives of this woman was amazing and so much detail was given that you almost can't NOT believe, however that is for each of us to decide. What I've learned from this book has given me a great deal of food for thought and has dramatically changed my outlook on life and death. This is a book I'll never forget reading and one that I will encourage all who I come in contact with to read. Once you're done you can make your decision as to whether you believe it or not.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from wow wow wow this book came on my radar a few times over the past year, so i finally ordered it. then someone serendipitously recommended it to me, so i put other books aside and read it immediately -- and like many others’ testimonies, i could not put it down! whether you believe in multiple lives or not, this book will be a great and valuable read. if you’ve ever wondered why with some people you feel so comfortable or on familiar grounds even though you just met them... if you’ve ever wondered why you feel a special connection to certain human beings... this will all very likely make sense once you’ve read this book. if you have serious anxieties or fears, this might also help tremendously by shedding some light on those dark subjects that are often hard to talk about. it might help you take a different avenue towards your recovery... who knows. in any case, i highly recommend this book to everyone, as everyone can benefit from such a great testament of spirit and profound inspiration. we all could open our minds a little wider to a new realm of possibilities for our existence. kudos to doctor weiss for his open-mind and being courageous enough to share this story!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Open your mind to other times, other worlds... What if when we died there was no such thing as "the end"? What if we kept coming back to relive through the ages, the trials and tribualations of life and all its struggles, over and over again ? Weiss' book truly takes a detailed look into the life of a seemingly ordinary young girl who has a lot more to her than meets the eye. A definite must-read if you want to expand your knowledge about re-incarnation and all that it encompasses.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Enlightening This book really changed my view of life, for the better! Hopefully it can also encourage others to be more patient and loving. As well, it's comforting to know that our loved ones will always be close by. Dr. Weiss' writing style is very readable and engaging.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth Reading A very well written book. Highly recommended for people seeking the true meaning and significance of human life. The authenticity of the content of the book is formidable, since it comes from a man of science, an MD and a professional clinical psychiatrist.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Many Lives, Many Masters If you are a sceptic about re-incarnation, perhaps this book is one to read. Dr. Weiss' account of the experiences of Catherine may change your life, as it has changed his. What if we are to return again and again? What if we have lived other lives in other places? What if the people we interact with now are from other lives and other places? This book contains many soul-searching questions ...and answers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Many Lives, Many Masters - Lessons To Learn Dr. Brian Weiss was most skeptical when Catherine began recalling past-life traumas that seemed to hold the key to her recurring nightmares and anxiety attacks. When she begins to channel personal messages from his deceased father and firstborn son, all skepticism vanishes, especially after the revealing of numerous truths, truths that Catherine was never privy to. Catherine also reveals ancient truths as channeled through the Master Spirits about: past lives, reincarnation, karma and karmic debt, astral planes, dimensions, vibrations and intuitive powers. Having read this book, you, too, may find that your life focus becomes more humanistic and less accumulative in nature. This being the case, you shall then be on your way to discovering that "happiness comes from filling one's heart with love, from faith and hope, from preaching charity and dispensing kindness" (page 210). To merely give lip service benefits no one, least of all ourselves. These are the lessons we are all here to learn.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A fantastic book I read this book many months after my dad passed away, and found comfort. I think that when dealing with difficult issues like life-after-death, people need to feel a sense of hope and belief that there is something more. I'd recommend it for anyone who is dealing with grief right now or anything else!
