Rated 5 out of 5 by from My daughter loves it My five-year-old daughter reads it and rereads it. She's a big fan of penguins and she can definitely relate to Tacky cause she's the happy odd bird amongst her peers in kindergarten.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Such a great book. Shows children it is ok to be different, even beneficial to be different sometimes!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great: different is okay! A very cute book about how being different is not only okay but there are some benefits to not being the same as everyone else. Very cute book!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It Pays to be Different Another great book about how being different isn't necessarily a bad thing. Tacky the penguin does not fit in with the rest of the crowd. He's loud and boisterous and marches to the beat of his own drum. When some nasty hunters come looking for penguins though, they get more than they bargained for with Tacky.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Classroom's Favourite! I first heard about Tacky the Peguin from another teacher and I thought the story was hilarious. I read it to my students this week and it was the first time they had ever heard the book. It quickly became a classroom favourite. They want to hear it all the time! Not only is the book hilarious but it teaches that "odd birds" are unique and special. Tacky is a great bird to have around indeed. I'm looking forward to collecting the other "Tacky" books and seeing what else Tacky will be up to.
