The author of the #1 New York Times bestseller PERFECT VICTIM returns with another true-crime thriller. Dorothea Puente ran a boarding house on F street in Sacramento, taking in the city's homeless. But when corpses were dug up in her garden, it became clear the "kind-hearted" landlady was, in fact, a psychotic killer.

"Brilliant... A classic!" --Ann Rule

“Stunning... Disturbed Ground reads as smoothly as the most seamless blockbuster novel … Bravo!” --Jeffrey Deaver

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disturbed ground This book was sooooooo hard to read ....Boring , long winded, tedious. The characters were discussed to death, viewed and reviewed and reviewed again . ...to the point I found myself skipping paragraphs at a time. I always want to complete a book ...so I forced myself to continue. Actually this was my most difficult book task ...actually forcing myself to finish this book. I HAVE done it but it has turned me off of this auther. I read her other book , liked it and had decided to read ger again....that won't happen again! No more reading Carla!
