There's a new breed of justice in town, and he's ready to sniff out criminals-as soon as he stops chasing his own tail!

New from the creator of Captain Underpants, it's Dog Man, the crime-biting canine who is part dog, part man, and ALL HERO!

George and Harold have created a new hero who digs into deception, claws after crooks, and rolls over robbers. When Greg the police dog and his cop companion are injured on the job, a life-saving surgery changes the course of history, and Dog Man is born. With the head of a dog and the body of a human, this heroic hound has a real nose for justice. But can he resist the call of the wild to answer the call of duty?

Dav Pilkey has written and illustrated numerous popular, award-winning books for children, including the Captain Underpants and Dumb Bunnies series; Dog Breath, winner of the California Young Reader Medal; andThe Paperboy, a Caldecott Honor Book. He lives with his wife in the Pacific Northwest. Visit him online at

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great read for kids One of my sons favourite books. He loves the series and loves Dogman. Story line is really silly but the kids love it. Overall a good book for the kids to start reading

Rated 1 out of 5 by from "Reading is reading" - NOT I wanted to my child to read different chapter books. I borrowed this book to preview hoping this book will have less "Potty Language" than the other books by Dav Pikey. I was wrong. I thought Dog Man just took it too far. Some people say "reading is reading", but I don't think that is true.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hit with my daughter! My 10 year old daughter loved this book. She likes many things about this graphic novel: the smaller stories within the larger story, the drawing style of pictures and the fact that the author has chosen to use lowercase font. She has gone back to read it several times and each time I hear her giggling in her room. Recommend!
