Rated 4 out of 5 by from Dracula is not the complete story. This novel is really eye opening. I read this novel shortly after finishing Dracula. I loved the writing style, this was definitely a quick read. I found the novel Dracula to be very dry, and there wasn't a lot of action or suspense. This novel has all that, plus an intriguing love affair.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The title gives a hint of what's to come! I bought this book online several weeks ago on sale. I was desperate for some light reading and I am a fan of vampires and Bram Stokes original story. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book as it did give little bits of information that were never mentioned in the original. As the author, Syrie James stated, they filled in the holes and little bits of missing pieces from the original story. I was surprised how much it reminded me of the movie, Dracula, with Keanu Reeves and Wynonna Ryder. Reading it was like watching a movie all over again. Read bits each night before going to sleep but it didn't take me long to finish it. I loved it.
