Now, its owners — Giselle Courteau, Garner Beggs and Jacob Pelletier — have published the bakery's debut cookbook. Duchess Bake Shop is a triumphant collection of 80 recipes for the bakery's most-loved pastries that anyone can make at home.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Another cookbook to add to your shelf Some of the recipes included in the cookbook may be challenging for the beginner baker however, most recipes include a step by step guide with pictures to help you better understand the instructions. The book includes a variety of recipes. The tourtiere made with easy mixer pie dough is a simple and delicious recipe from the cookbook that is sure to become a family favourite. If you want good results with your finished product, be sure to use good quality ingredients and avoid ingredient substitutions. I have found the baking times to vary from what's stated in the recipe. Depending on your skill level some of the items in the cookbook may be better enjoyed at their bakeshop. However, this is still a cookbook you want on your shelf, even if it's only for the beautiful pictures of the baked goods themselves.

It is a must visit when you are in Edmonton! the recipes are a little more challenging but so worth the result! the navy/gold cover is beautiful too :)

Almost too nice to use but it would be a shame not to try some of the amazing recipes in it! They are delicious. Perfect for those who love to bake.

Recipes are well organized and have easy to follow instructions. Their more intricate recipes also have some step by step pictures included which paint a clearer picture for the aspiring home baker.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful pictures, accurate and perfect instructions I was given this as a gift. Every recipe is an excellent step by step tutorial on producing a delicious and lovely baked good. The pastry cream is to die for, the key lime tarts are amazing,the scones are awesome,and all the cookies are delicious. Admittedly I haven't tried to make macarons which I think would be tricky but truly all the recipes have great step by step pictures and instructions which guide you to a finished product you will be delighted to look at and show off and love to enjoy!

This is an absolutely beautiful book - but I've had to try most of the recipes at least twice before getting anything remotely edible out of my oven. I consider myself an avid baker and bought the book from the store when it was first published. I've been disappointed. Even though I live in the same city, I've had to adjust cook times, quantities, and the consistencies of almost every recipe I've tried. Disappointing

It has rekindled the baker in me. The quality of the book is superior and I'll protect it forever. I'm planning on visiting the Duchess Bake Shop in Edmonton soon!!
