Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good I was really hoping this book would have the coleslaw recipe, but alas... it was not there. There are some good recipes but just like eating at earls... there are plates that just dont appeal to us, while others are just wonderful.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The good old days! I gave this cookbook to my sister as a gift. She lives in Ottawa and sadly, there are no Earls in town. She loves this book! Great recipes, some fabulous favourites.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Eating My Way Back in Time Earl's is a restaurant from my young adult years as a university student and I've had so many fond memories of not just of the food, but of the company of friends sharing meals together. I loved re-creating the food, and hosting Earl's theme nights at my home where my friends delighted in re-living their favourites. I've purchased copies to give to my friends and family, because this book evokes so many memories for so many people. Even my son, who is now 20, recalls the first time he ate at Earl's at age 5, when his father and I divorced and we would go to Earl's to have a little dinner on our own. He remembers how thoughtful the staff were when I couldn't hold back my tears of sorrow and they tried to cheer us up. My son still loves Earl's and is eager to cook the recipes himself!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love it This cookbook has alot of Earl's signature dishes that I can make at home. Nasi Goreng, and Indonesian dish, is very authentic to what I imagine how it should taste.
