Rated 2 out of 5 by from aka, 'Cook Broccoli for 90 Minutes' Snagged this book at the local library because I'd heard good things, so decided it was worth checking out. Ignoring the somewhat militant opinions about diet and nutrition (the author's medical degree notwithstanding), this book has some serious faults when it comes to being a cookbook. There are two types of recipes in this book: author-written and chef-written. Those the author has written, while ambitious, seem intent on cooking food to the point of lost molecular cohesion when they aren't simply shilling for the author's branded products. The recipes the guest chefs have provided seem saner, for the most part, but are either boring or overcomplicated. The few pictures that are included look lovely - even inspiring - but one only has to turn to the recipe page to get knocked back to Earth. As stated in the title, there is actually a recipe that suggests chucking everything in a pot, hard veg and soft, for a total of 90 minutes. Even if that's not exemplary of other recipes in the book, including it in the finished product - and asking money for it - is sloppy at best. All of that said, I did jot down some ideas to try out, hence the second star.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Eat to Live Cookbook Unusual ingredients, too complicated recipes. Not a family friendly way of eating, seems very fad driven,

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Healthy Recipes This is a good recipe book if you want to improve your health almost overnight. I use the recipes as a base adding my own ingredients to suit my health needs and tastes. I recommend this book if you want to be healthy.
