Reviews

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bird Edwina the Emu is a delightful book written in rhyme. It flows well with a bit of a cockney accent. It's undertones address parental roles, vegetarism, and how others perceive one from sterotypical expectations. Edwina develops personal insight after tranversing the world of employment and returns home to her little ones. The writer uses humour, banter and a bit of slap stick which delights both my five year old and fourteen month old. The illustrations are bright, colourful, full-page and are one degree removed from reality towards comic illustration without being comic book in nature. A must have in your children's library.
