about

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Large print This is a large print version. I didn't see this description anywhere so I was disappointed. It's very good for people who need glasses but don't have any. Just got it in the mail so didn't read it yet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Something familiar You know when you read the first few lines of a book that it's going to be something great, something meaningful, something powerful; this is 'that' book. I can't for the life of me put it down and therefore bring it everywhere with me no matter where I go. When you feel as though every single word or paragraph resonates something deep within and you go 'yes!', 'okay,' and sometimes makes you shake your head in amazement because you can't believe that someone has finally been able to write down everything you ever wondered, and made your mind up about. Finally the help to see you through your journey to get to the real you, the one that is longing to be, has come. Reading this book has been the best conversation with myself I've had in a long time. It feels good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Have your questions answered in this book! This book, A New Earth - Awakening to Your Life's Purpose, is full of wisdom and practical suggestions for becoming consciously aware in a world which screams for our attention in tangible ways. Tolle encourages you to look at the ego and its methods for stealing you away from embracing each moment. He teaches you to be aware that the ego's purpose is always to divert your attention away from the wisdom which resides in the depth of the moment, by keeping you looking to the past or the future. In this book, he teaches that joy resides in the depth of our relationship with God, and that once we find this, we can laugh at the ego's feeble attempts to call us away from this Love by offering us approval or disapproval at the hands of humanity's shallow wisdom. An excellent read - a help on the way to good mental health and compassion for humanity.
